I just received my copy of this months American Rifleman and on the cover was what I first thought was, "Oh, another AR clone" but then I noticed it had a bolt-action on it. How unique I thought and after reading the article I was really impressed with the capabilities and flexibility of this rifle. I watched a video on Ruger's website and it sure looks darn accurate. I don't think you could ask more from any rifle than that.

What I was wondering if anyone here has seen or held one yet? I'm very curious to check one out very soon. Anyone else looking to purchase one? It only comes in three calibers, .308, .243 Winchester and 6.5mm Creedmore. The latter is the caliber that American Rifleman tested. I'm shocked it didn't also come in a .223 version also. The MSRP is $1399.00 currently. Seems to be basically a competition ready rifle out of the box. Strange thing to me though, is the 6.5 Creedmore comes with a 24" barrel, but the .308 only comes in a 20" barrel, while the .243 Winchester comes in a 26" barrel. I'm sure many of you have already seen the magazine and read the article I was curious on what others thought about this new rifle from Ruger. Looks like a winner to me.
