Got a hunting mailer from Bass Pro Shop that had some pretty good prices on red dot optics for AR rifles....First off let me say that I hate shopping at BPS for anything shooting related because the gun counter people should be selling tents or boat anchors, anything but guns and sure enough the dude who waited on me didn't know squat about the sights or what the difference was between the $99.00 Sightmark I wanted to look at and a $599.00 Eotech....That is unacceptable for someone working in the GUN department but about on par with every otther Big Box Store I guess....
The display unit had a dead battery and he wouldn't put another battery in so I could see how it looked, said it was against store policy to open new boxes and install batteries....I was ready to walk out when another customer walked over after seeing me looking at it and said he had 2 of them and they both worked very well and were worth the $99.00 price....That means more to me than anything a sales weasel can say so I got the manager to go to the back and get the last new one out so I could look at it and she didn't have a problem with installing the batteries so I could tell whether I liked it or not....Go figure
Long story short, I really like the thing and it seems well made for what it is....It fits my S&W M&P AR very securely and is quite bright out doors in the sun light and was almost at point of aim when we shot the rifle, it needed just a slight windage adjustment to be spot on....
I had looked at Amazon and they have the same thing for $93.00 plus shipping but I wanted to check one out in person before I bought one:

If you have an AR rifle and are looking at an inexpensive Red Dot sight I think you will like this one....If you have a high end rifle and money isn't an option or are military or SWAT then don't bother with this one and go with a Eotech, ACOG or Leupold but if money is tight and you think you would like a nice inexpensive red dot reflex sight then check this one out....
