I took my PM 40 to the range again this last weekend. Every time I shoot it I am more impressed with it. It shot flawlessly with one of my magazines, and while I am still having a minor issue with the other magazine, I am confident a new one from Kahr will remedy the situation. I sent it off this week with specific instructions not to just snap it back together and send it back to me like I suspect they did last time.
O.K. that is my one small gripe. Now for the good news. I noticed after this last range trip how much smoother my PM was running. It now chambers rounds easily without locking the slide back. The feed ramp must have really polished itself up well. The trigger is even smoother than it was , which is hard to believe. This little thing is incredibly accurate for such a small weapon. I am not a good shot by any means but I feel very confident carrying this gun. It is completely invisible under just a t-shirt, and yes, sometimes you do actually forget you have it on.
I am now a true believer in the dreaded break-in period. These are good guns new, but they turn into great ones after about 500 rounds.
My Glock 27 is getting pretty lonely sitting at home everyday.
