I'm new here trying to learn about these great pistols but several times I've seen differing and inconsistent weights given for the two pistols. Can you clarify?
1) Which one is lighter at 15 oz.?
2) Which one weighs 15.8 oz.?
(Both above weights are with no magazine.)

The P9 has more of a rounded contour on the slide than the CW9....I would imagine tha would make a lsight difference, but not enough to worry about....I have CW9 and it has been absolutely flawless from day one. I ahve shot many types of ammo from ball to +P and there has never been a problem with it.
The ammo that shoots the best is Defense Research Tech. (DRT) It is a 85gr JHP and the pistol shoots them about 1" high of point of aim at 7yds, which is to be expected because of the lighter bullet weight.

I was thinking the same, plan to purchase P9 soon, I am looking for light, thin, EDC.
Thanks for asking, it will not change my decision but it's nice to know, and Kahr should correct the specs on their website.

As my research continues, I'm finding that indeed, the P9 is the lighter of the two. Another reason why it appeals to me more. I thank you for your replies.

The P series has more material machined off the slide than the CW series does, they also have a dovetail front sight cut the removes even more material.

You are right about the weight difference, and the P9 is almost 1/10 of an inch shorter. At least that is if the specifications on the Kahr sit are correct!
