I recently purchased a SIG P320 Full Size and a SubCompact version. OMG they are GREAT shooters. SIG is screwing buyers with the cost of the X-Change kits IMHO. That being said I have about 500 rounds thru each and the SC is my new and forever CCW. The mix/match capability is great if and when SIG decides to stop the rip off pricing. If you have not tried a SIG, the P320 Modular Concept is unbeatable.

Have the compact P320 on order. Looking to trim a little weight from carrying the 229.
I agree that the kits are a bit overpriced. I think they could easily drop the price by $100 (maybe more), make a profit and attract more consumers.

They easily could but they won't. I suspect it is to force folks to buy another gun. I know a couple of SIG reps that are very unhappy with the pricing and have been carping at SIG to lower the price to increase sales. Why would I pay $399 for a parts kit when I can buy a new firearm for $480?

I will be buying the sub compact in .45 as soon as Sig gets them available. Handled a 9mm sub and a .45 carry model at the LGS a couple of weeks ago and fell in love. As the Colonel would say - Made my Levis get a little tight in the front! Best factory trigger on a striker fired pistol I have ever tried, and they felt soooo good in my hand. I've considered the P250 (basically the same gun except hammer fired) in the past but just couldn't get past the crappy trigger. Glad you posted this LZ. Always good to hear reviews about guns from someone that owns them when you're planning on laying out some green and don't have a chance to actually shoot them first. I don't think I'll be disappointed, just wish Sig would hurry up and get the .45 SC released before I break down and buy the 9mm.

Your welcome. From what I understand they are still ramping up production and the 45 SC will be available in the third quarter of this year. You are aware that the 45 ACP cannot be caliber changed with the 9/357/40? Initially they would all 4 be interchangeable but for some reason SIG refuses to discuss, the 45 P320 is a breed all its own.

Yes I'm aware the .45 is not caliber changeable. Must have been an engineering issue. Kinda wish it was but it's not a deal breaker for me. Might end up buying the 9/40/357 at some point as well if I like the .45 as much as I think I'm going to.

I did not buy a p320 to buy "exchange kits " too . You want or need to different size or caliber handgun buy a second one so both are useable instead of one hanging around in a box as parts . Price for a sig p320 is lower than any other competing handguns to start with .
People will buy a glock or m&p and then buy a conversion barrel for a 150 to 219 bucks and end up close to the same price as a sig plus a kit have the same thing using sigs 20% discount .
You do get a 20% discount from sig when you register your handgun on line to use of other any sig stuff so get KIT or two then .
If you want a 45 buy the ct45 kahr . Its a heck of a shooter as it is.

Where would that be precisely??? I have NEVER seen a P320 cheaper than a Glock or S&W polymer pistol. Before going broke due to cheap consumers unwilling to pay for quality Dan Wesson made killing with Barrel Swappable Revolvers! The CT45 is pretty good but FAR from being the be all end all for everyone. It is more a niche weapon and Kahrs can NEVER be a primary uniformed carry weapon and the P320 can be.

I think I read somewhere that this was developed for the German market, harder to get permits. Get one permit, and buy kits as needed.

Never heard that but it could be a logical possibility.

Glocks in my area have almost always been lower than $500. I have seen BNIB Glocks at sub $400. I don't doubt local variations but in general SIGs are pricier than Glocks. I frequent the Sig Talk forum but I have NO use for the plicks at the Sig Forum, especially that bunghole that owns/runs that romper room. Mostly the Sig Forum is made up of wannabe bad asses that need momma to warm up another hot pocket for them.
Rockwell Arms is claiming ships in 12-24 months...WTH!!! If that is true what a loser operation they run.

Sure your not discussing the some of the whinny arsed glock owners that tend to pop up on other forums . I have also seen on line some P320s BNIB for 399 recently as a special deal online at Southern Guns and Gear yesterday in the great state of La and people are buying them . Special deal between them and sig ?? Heck yes . .
" Plicks" ?? Guess I'm to old to pay attention or care about some foolish made up words used by some gamers . Yea , had to look it up . Guess your one of those gamers to know what the word is .
I find the info I need most times just fine on forums I'm on but you do have to read around some fools at times .
Have a fine weekend .

Your not too old just lacking in education, I am pleased you have now elevated your intellectual capacity at my comment. Oh yeah thanks for the weekend wishes as I ALWAYS have a great weekend. I guess you are taking the place of the boards currently sick curmudgeon.

Point of fact it is NOT whining but the simple statement of fact. I spoke the undeniable truth about the dolt that runs the dump called The SIG Forum. Bootlicking for him and folks like him are pursuits I do not participate in.

Not sure what burr is under whose saddle here but we're done here. Could be victory, could be a draw, could be no contest but to me anyhow not enjoyable.
