Hmmm....
My original post shows a photograph. Oh well. Let's see if this file photo loads correctly.

Looks like the soft rubber hogue grips. Big plus, those are really really nice.

On the K9, or on Catwoman?

I better give them a squeeze them to figure it out...
BTW, nice K9. I was fondling mine last night. I finished the grip design, at least in 3D. Now I have to complete the drawings and figure out what materials to offer. My plastic prototypes in ivory white actually look pretty good.

Any pictures of the test subjects yet Alfonse?
I bought an ex-NYPD K9 as a "project gun" expecting to build a pretty safe queen. Turns out now to be my favorite (non pocket) carry gun. Glad to see some pieces to build them up nice come on the market.
BTW, Is that Catwoman photo of a toy or resin model??? Might make the grip-to-tit "squeeze test" more of a direct comparison than one might think...

I think we're talking about K9 grips again! I should have taken some photos. I will take some of the printed plastic pieces tomorrow. I have what I hope is the last round of prototypes coming. The fit around the slide release wasn't quite what I wanted in the ones I have now, the screw depth needed a tweak, and the angle at the bottom of the magwell is a degree and some different than the MK9. Since I assumed it was the same, I had to change that too.
Except for the slide release fit, none of it would show in photos.
In trying to keep the price realistic, I am looking at various Micarta materials to work with first. I was actually surprised how much I like the G10 on the MK. I will certainly look at that too and see if I can keep them under $100. I don't consider them marketable if they get too close to a Franklin. In other materials I should be able to have them cost less and still be really nice.
I wonder if Catwoman would fondle my pistol for some photos of the grips?

Finally got a photo of the latest printed plastic prototypes. Working on sorting out how to build them now.

Run them in Aluminum... this would allow for any anodized color. I would like a set for my MK9 in Aluminum, and I have been debating on a K9 Elite as well.

I've been thinking aluminum might not be a bad idea. Faux Ivory I would have to figure out, but the printed grips look better on the gun than I thought they would.
Stag seems like it would get kinda pricey.

Whatever you come up with...I am in. I'm looking forward to getting the "Al" feel on my K40 too!

I was semi kidding Al, but all good things come with a price.
We still good over there fire wise. Heard Okanogan and Coconnelly are burning now.

They evacuated the whole town on Conconnelly. I think Twisp and Methow are in trouble too. The winds came up tonight and it looks bad to the north of us. The wind is out of the southwest, so that should keep it away from our place unless it changes direction. The fires have added a bunch of things to my list this week, so I would have to say my efficiency is down a bit. At least having power and internet back helps.
