Little bugger comes in a nice locking steel shell box with crinkle finish & foam inserts:

Isn't that a little dandy. First swing out cylinder version I ever laid eyes on. Looks good.

Cool...I'd thought NAA had given up on this kinda thing for the Minis several years back when they production for the top break model. This will prolly be a rare as hen's teeth exception to my no more guns rule.

They only made 500 units of that top break - supposedly it was too expensive to manufacture and they had to price it around $500. That's an awful lot for a Mini, even though they nice quality little peashooters. The Sidewinder is a different story - they've made quite a few of them the past couple of years and are continuing production.

I got this one from Bud's this week, but it is intended as a birthday gift for my brother who turns 77 tomorrow. Might have to get one myself.

I think that's a pistol I could actually carry in my pocket. Most "pocket pistols" are too big for my skinny butt.

I've always wanted to shoot one of those. It looks like it is a different experience than most any other firearm.

I had one for a bit, cute little bugger. Even in 22 I couldn't hang onto it, shoot and then try to catch it every shot.

This one looks way more high quality but I bet it's still a handful to hang onto.

I didn't even know These have been on the market. Woulda bought the top break (Ranger?) if I'd gotten to it before NAA decided to not put it into production. Even at $500 I would happily gone for it. Minis have long been the minimalist bit in my regular carry stable. I shoot them regularly, because I carry them, and the swing out cylinder would/will a nice/ more convenient addition. Not quite as functionally attractive as the top break would have been, but a clear step up from pull and punch for .22 Mag for regular use.

The Sidewinder ejector pin is pretty short - it only pushes the long magnum shells out of the cylinder about halfway, so you'll still have to pick them out with your fingernails if they don't drop free.

If I buy one for myself, then it'll get a boot grip upgrade like my 30 year old Mini magnum got earlier this summer - makes it a heckuva lot easier to handle than those tiny birdhead panels:

I think they're working on the .45-70 first.

Gonna need a bipod for that thing!

Need to put some rails on it for the flashlights, lasers, & optics too.

If it doesn't have a horn too I'm not buying it.
