Not sure this will work, but I just saw the NC gunman's cell phone video of him shooting!
Governor McAuliffe wasted no time in using the event to further his gun control agenda!
Never mind!

I saw the video on YouTube before they took it down. So sad for those people. I hear that SOB is still alive but critical. I'd give my Kingdom to finish that POS off.

Here's another that still worked just now:

This is a chilling example of total lack of situational awareness and being TOO FOCUSED on something else. The two women should have noticed a guy approaching them in that somewhat isolated and early morning... especially when he's pointing the pistol and videoing that with his phone! The poor cameraman never had a chance. Things MIGHT have gone differently if one of those women had glanced at the intruder!
I just watched the video on that link and it stops at 42 seconds... just as the shooting is about to start. The gunman produced and pointed the pistol at the newswoman at about 19 seconds! Evidently the video was censored at the point the shooting started.

They were doing a live shoot! you can't be just looking around for threats, you focus your attention on the job. I don't fault them for not seeing this nutbag. That poor woman.

I edited my post after watching that link again. The two women should have noticed the intruder walking into their "space" and certainly noticed his handgun pointed at them for over 20 seconds. That area was supposedly deserted except for the three in the interview at that early in the morning.

After watching it again, someone should have noticed that guy. But, it probably wouldn't have changed anything, he would have shot them a few seconds sooner is all.

Wow that's hard to watch, almost wish I hadn't now, very very sad....I kept wanting to stop the video and yell "RUN" but I can see how the reporter was focused on the lady she was interviewing and the lady was focused on the reporter and the camera man couldn't have looked at anything else but his view finder.....So sick that some POS could have that much hate in his heart to do something like that and film himself doing it....Guess it just goes to show what kind of world we live in today....

I paused the film. It looks like he used a Glock. From the sound of it I'd say a 9MM. The shooter was a head case.

What's wrong with people these days? I feel bad for the victims. If you look at the shooters more current pictures he looks out of it. Wonder if he was on some crazy meds or a drug addict

Very sad. Prayers to the families, friends, and coworkers. Now I have no doubt that this is a HATE CRIME but will NOT be labeled as such. Since the shooter is a claimed aggrieved minority and it was two Caucasians that were mercilessly gunned down. I too was wondering why the reporter was so focused and the interviewee who IMHO should have seen the threat first did not.

+1 Breitbart got the headline right:
BLACK, GAY REPORTER MURDERS STRAIGHT, WHITE JOURNALISTS -- MEDIA BLAME THE GUN (http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/08/26/black-gay-reporter-murders-straight-white-journalists-media-blame-the-gun/)
Just wish one among those 3 nice people had just a bit of situational awareness, but I can't really blame them for attending to their jobs.

That TV station must operate on a very low budget if the couldn't provide at least one person for security on a remote broadcast. Instead of condemning guns the father of the reporter should be suing the station for not providing a safe work place.

Since when does one reporter and one cameraman interviewing one chamber of commerce lady need a security detail?

There are a bunch of videos, that make arguments, that this shooting was another hoax, trying to brainwash America that guns are evil, and we need to give them up.
If you want to check some of the videos out here is a good place to start: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcKtXq6HzWM
On the side of the page there is a list of more videos stating that it was a hoax. It does seem strange that this man is standing there pointing a pistol for quite awhile at the reporter, and no one notices.
I've only watched a few, and haven't reached a conclusion yet. I do think if someone was standing there pointing a gun at you for 20 seconds or however long he was pointing it, that you'd get some kind of gut feeling, or the hairs on the back of your neck would stand up, or something would tell you that you were in danger and to look over that direction. It's not like she had to turn around or anything, just a glance to her right would be enough.

They were totally focused on the task at hand, interviewing, not watching the goings on around them. I understand why they didn't see that guy. Maybe if there were more people around, they would have been more wary. But they probably assumed just one more figure was probably someone with the tv station, I probably would have.

Don't you think that the camera would catch the movement of the eyes and show insincerity? I know if I was a reporter and caught the interviewer looking around during an interview I would want a retake.
That video makes me sick. When I watch that it reminds me how vulnerable we all are. Replace the scenario watched and instead insert them at a checkout counter at the food store, a gas station paying for gas, or even the library. Armed or not, your dead.
