I am in the production process for the G10 grips for the K9 and K40. They will be black G10. Seeing the actual part for the first time is actually kind of a thrill. They look like K series sized versions of the MK grips, pictured below:

Al,
Do you have a ballpark price on the K9 grips? When will they be available to order?
BTW, I really like the 9mm magazine followers.

The K grips are $89.95. I would love to have been able to do them less expensively, but so far that is the best I can get to.
Thanks! The followers really do work well.

So, almost ready now in G10:

On the other hand, if you want gold or platinum, it would be like carrying around your retirement and protection scheme all at the same time:

Really like your K9 grips. I may have to get another K9 to hang them on. Tell us about the grip screws please!

That K9 is another member's pistol that is being used for fitting the grips at the machine shop. If he sees the thread, he may have the definitive answer on the screws. The screws look like 1911 grip screws to me. I don't know if he had to shorten them or not. Normally, they go with wood grips. That's all I have heard about the screws.
They might be these, but I'm guessing: http://www.strikeindustries.com/shop/index.php/1911-torx-grip-screws-with-stainless-steel.html

Those can be made in actual gold and platinum (kinda pricey) or can be plated (less pricey, but still $$) 14K gold or rhodium (looks like platinum) over brass or bronze. I can make them in bronze, brass, or even silver. They can be customized or made plain so you can have them engraved as you want.
And, they can be ordered right now. Lead time is about 3 weeks.

It would be fun to have a customer who wants some really high end grips. I can add spots to embed diamonds if a modern Liberace wanted a set...
BTW, I have the 1911 grips modeled and can do the same with them.

You got it, buddy! Sharp eye! They are indeed Strike Industries Torx screws for a 1911, and I did indeed have to shorten them slightly so they wouldn't bind against the magazine. These pistols use the same grip threads as a 1911.
