does a 47 willys count in your book. Been doing a restoration on my buddys house and he had the willys out and thought of you, would be nice if it had some gun racks on it. It’s still on the road and really doesn’t look bad for being 68 year old, it’s a driver. Think he said 45 mph was pushing it. Before he retired from the school system he would drive that to work on snowy days. Its been in his ownership since ‘69, nice to hang on some of the old stuff you have. I think muggsy could use one of these in his neck of the woods

My good friend and deer hunting buddies has a Willys that he spent two years restoring. I'm not sure of the vintage, but it's a sweet ride.

I knew a gentleman from work that owned a 46 model Willys With the flathead 4 banger. His wife hated it and she said so loudly one afternoon as I cooed over it. "That thing Is the most uncomfortable riding vehicle on the planet!"
Jerry shouted back "oh woman, the comfort comes from being deep back in the beauty of the woods and you didn't"t have to walk there!"
Very true statement and I have used it several time myself in the years since.
Peace
That's awesome. We have a customer with a 40something willys, but he said "itwo a Chevy S10 underneath".

anutter ol jocko story: about 40+ years ago, we were headed to around casper wyoing to antelope hunt with bow and arrow. 5 of us. We rented a ddoge travel home, and my buddy had a willys just like that. so we pulled the drive shafts and made a trailor bar hitch toat hooked up to the front bumper of that willys. I think we must have tightened the bar to much, but anyway we were close to casper and we pulle dup to a stop lite in town and the next thing I knew, here came our jeep rolling by our motor home. I thought WTF, and away it went, it went into this really nice yard that was surrounded by about 3 ft well groomed hedges all around it. It ended up on the hedges. We thought, well we are in deep sh!t here, so we go out and walked around the situation for awhile but no one came out of the house or no one even stopped tosee whatwas the matter, so we continued to just get the willys off the hedges and we rolled it back and hooked it back up, I went up to the home and knocked but no one answered, so we all looked at each utter and I thik someone said fokk it, lets go. WE DID..

That's correct. My 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 2WD isn't close to being the real thing.
My brother's 4WD Wrangler is fairly close, but it has doors and an automatic transmission.

You are correct...even my Wrangler's are wannabee's.

Like to have me one of them Wranglers iffen I could figure out a way to get in and out of the durn thing. Always liked the looks of em. That blue one blows my dress up plumb around my ears.
I probably could even hear it run with them headers dumbing out right under my working ear. Like it a lot.

The Blue one has a 350 small block chevy about 500 horse with an automatic. 42 inch tires with 488 gears. It's pretty fast. It's actually half CJ and Half Wrangler, with fiberglass body. I used Supertrapp mufflers and actually it's pretty quiet.
