I think Kahr has a great idea making a shorter, lighter trigger in their upcoming Gen2 pistols. I like the current Kahr trigger for carry, but see and hear many folks who would prefer a shorter, lighter trigger. To expand their market share, meeting that demand is a great idea.
I don't think it is really all that difficult to do for Kahr either. I can imagine it only taking about a half-dozen parts, or changed parts, to do. I am curious what the new little hole in the frame is for. I realize all will be revealed in time. I circled the hole in the photo. Why would it need to be there? Does a pin hold a stop for the finger on the trigger to contact?

I don't see how Kahr loses by having some different options on triggers for a wider array of potential buyers. Not everybody likes the smooth, revolver style trigger.
I don't think a shorter trigger pull, would equate to a lighter trigger pull. Doing the same work over a shorter distance of pull will increase the load. Don't see spring weights going down so... its probably going to be slightly stronger pull if shorter. Trying to recall the old schoolwork about properly shaped turbine blades being close to 100 percent efficient and how that carries over to cam shapes, but I can't see how in this application it would matter, as we're basically talking straight lever principles.

I'd love to try one, just because.

Holds a stop or is the stop would be my guess.

Bet that pin has to do with the safety trigger . Give that center safety blade something to bump up if not pushed in!!

I prefer the triggers the way they are......................make them shorter and lighter, and your getting in to the danger zone for carry.

I like the current triggers too. I doubt they are going away. But, there are lots of people who buy Glocks and other brands that have a shorter, sometimes lighter, trigger. I think Kahr is smart to offer them an option.

It does line right up with the safety. As I said, I'm eager to see one and take it apart. I think I've been that way since being 4 or 5 years old....

I go with GB theory, it is a stop for the safety trigger. Maybe even set up that if u don't want it, just punch it out. Looksd like maybe kahrt will make this trigger standcard in do time. It think it is a greaty addition especaiy if you can pop that pin out. great idea IMO. Just sayin

I don't see any benefit to punching it out myself. With your finger on the trigger it's like the pin is out anyhow.
Really nothing gained.
