This sort of thing is exactly the reason that I carry two guns. :)

We have the octagon, they settled for the hexagon.

I only watched the first 3-minute round of 3 per bout (?). People can get seriously injured with those swords... good practice for guys who like swords... but, I'll stick to my CC slugthrowers! I like standoff weapons and no contact! :D

The best thing I ever saw with a sword....

The guy who owns COLD STEEL has a video showing the COLD STEEL Magnum Tanto XII, the 12" blade version of their famous (and really good) Tanto knive made with San Mai III steel.

Anyway, the guy has a pig, minus head, fully skinned. ready for butchering, hanging by its hind legs by a rope. One whack and he slices it in half through ribs, backbones, everything. Amazing. Then he takes the remnants that are still hanging, and whacks off huge sections through the backbones ... like nothin'. Then he does the same with a fully skinned, ready for butchering calf. One whack, two piece calf, right through the thorax.

I wonder what that knife would do to a man's hand, or arm. Shudder to imagine it.
