I have a couple of new base plates and sleeves available for Kahr 9mm magazines. I ran mine in black, but you can run them in blue, red, pink, or "metallic look."

These are 3d printed to order production parts for your Kahr. A first I believe.

Looks to me like you're in business, Alphonse. A real professional look to those extensions. I'll give them the "Muggsy" seal of approval.

Alfonse, Have you thought about making a base plate that is the same dimensions as the grip and scalloped on the sides for easy magazine removal? I'm interested in the ability to rip the magazine out of the gun if a double feed occurs. The standard or aftermarket base plates don't address this problem, especially the 6 rounders which I use for pocket and concealed carry. Here is a link to Larry Vicker's solution to the problem. https://tangodown.com/shop/vikers-tactical-glock-mag-floor-plate/
Thanks. Gabby

That is nice. Those have been tooled up and molded. The design would be easy. They would be thicker than a factory 6 round base plate for a Kahr.

I will post a design here sometime next week that could be made by printing. The printed parts are not as nicely finished as a molded part nor as strong. For Glock stuff, the volumes to justify $800 or so for a mold insert (could do 3 calibers for around $2400) are a more likely bet.

Also, on the Glock, the aftermarket part can be the same thickness top to bottom as the rather thick factory part.

If some kind of baseplate proves popular, I would mold it or machine it. If i was concerned with a jam that was badly stuck, I would probably carry a spare gun. However, that doesn't mean that having a way to grip the mag better isn't a good idea, but rather I doubt my ability to fix something stuck badly quickly enough to prevail if it was an urgent need.

Thanks though, I will do the design and it is a good idea.

u do nice work alfonse. congrats.. beats that butt ugly mag extension that kahr use dto offer that never even accepted an extra round. I guess I am old school, I want my PMJ9 as small as I can make it.. One extra round is nice but f I can't do it in 7, I am probably dead anyway. Just sayin

Jocko, those are not the +1 base plates. I'm a little over 8000 miles from my office now, but should be back tomorrow on Monday, late. The +1 base plates should be waiting for me, and I know the K series G10 grips are there.

How about this?

If you like that I can print you some. If lots of folks like it, I could machine some.

That looks very promising. Do you think the scallop would be wide enough to get a good purchase? Thanks for the quick response.

PM me and I can get you setup. I won't probably do anymore with it unless someone else says they want it.

Could I get a couple in blackened stainless or brass?

I turned on the stainless or blackened steel. The brass was really expensive. The stainless and blackened steel are pretty expensive, but not compared to the brass. Aluminum is pricey too.

Ok, I'll pm you for two of these in 9mm matte stainless, and two 9mm followers. I'll run them in my T-9 for 1K of ammo. If I like them I'll add more for the up coming season, I have like 12 mags total I rotate. Also have you considered adding dimples to the base? Say two rows of three so they can be marked like the 10-8 and other bases?

Do you think the +1 would still work on the 8 round T-9 mags? I already have the extra strength Wolf springs in them.
