Cerakoting a PM9 slide will void the warranty?

My Shield, 2 Glocks, a PPQ and my Ruger 10/22 were all Cerakoted without effecting their warranties.
I was informed by Kahr that Cerakoting the slide would void the warranty.

I did not think Ruger published a warranty, just usually took care of things. Changing a part, like on an automobile, only voids the warranty for things that change might impact. I imagine a Kahr is like a car under the Magnuson-Moss act (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson%E2%80%93Moss_Warranty_Act).

Are you concerned your slide is going to break? If so, don't Cerakote it.
