My CM9 has been to the range probably half dozen times and been flawless to shoot. BUT every time I take it apart, I have absolute hell trying to get the pin back in. This time I was not able to get it in at all after about 2hrs of trying. I also have a P9 which I've never had problem with so I know I'm doing it right since they are essentially the same gun. Called Kahr today and they are sending me a new slide stop spring but I honestly can't tell if the one on the CM9 is bent. Doesn't look like it is. Any suggestions.

A photo of the spring and hole would help. I had a pistol with the spring installed a bit off and it was nearly impossible to get apart.

Remove the slide stop spring and see if the slide stop goes in any easier. If not the spring isn't the problem. See if the spring is positioned similar to the P9 spring.

I'd do a side by side close comparison. If at all possible I would not removed that slide stop spring screw completely. It threads into tupperware and scares the heck of me that I'll cross thread it or bugger em up.

I think you can even put the new spring in without completely removing the screw but I'm not positive about that.

If you do take it out be super careful putting it back in and don't bull in a china closet tighten it down. Just snug is good enough.
