View Full Version : Minor feelings of guilt...

I have enough guns. Really, I do. I'll never shoot them all, there's really no point. I need to keep proficiency with my EDC, its backup, my HD guns, and maybe my AR just in case... Everyone says you can never have too many, and to never sell your guns. I read it on the internet so it must be true.
I almost fell for that polished K9 the other day. I almost went for the used T9 for $480, too. But I didn't.
Instead, I've convinced myself I need an Auto Ordnance 1911PKZE to go with my M1 Garand for a WWII tribute "collection." Whether I ever shoot it or not doesn't really matter, but I look forward to doing so.
Naw, don't try to talk me out of it. :2eek:

Stay off the internet, don't buy any gun rags, don't look at your friends new firearm and never leave the house. Then the urge won't jump on you.

It's not that I need anymore guns. It's just that a man can never have too, many guns. It's kinda like women and shoes. :)

I didn't know you collected women and shoes Muggsy!
That K9 is a sweet shooter tho, and a great carry gun...

That AO 1911 has been calling to me for a long time too. So far I've been able to resist.

There is an easily solution to your horrible problem. Vote for Hitlery. She will relieve you of the guns you already have. But don't worry. It will be "meaningful". She and her partner Bernie will for sure outlaw "assault weapons." Seeing as we peon civilians don't have them anyway, I guess she means the military? I get sooo confused!!

Guns have been my best investment, outdoing all the stocks and other things I've invested in, I see one rifle I paid $150 for, selling for $1000 at several places now. Most of my Mausers that I paid $75 or $80 for going for around $500, the only one that hasn't appreciated much is a Spanish small ring Mauser, that was converted to 7.62 Nato, that some say is fine to shoot, others say to only shoot weaker handloads, loaded down to 300 Savage specs. And it's pretty rough looking anyway. One of my pistols I'm pretty sure I could sell it for twice what I paid for it.
Most of my guns except for a couple, I could sell and make a very nice profit on if I decided I could part with them. So other than CC pieces, I try to buy firearms that I believe will rise in value.
The trouble is parting with them. I HATE selling guns, I become attached to them very quickly and then find it hard to sell them.

I've bought a couple of used guns at what seem like excellent prices. Even a couple new ones, I don't know how they sold them so cheap. The few I've sold, however, all lost money.
If Hitlery and Bernie are coming to take our guns, that's all the more reason to buy more, now. Imagine how valuable they'll be when they're illegal!

I totaled up how much I had spent on what I have last week and about choked. It was about twice what I thought and I didn't figure replacement price but should because I got a good deal on most of them. I haven't dared tell the wife how much it is but I think i need to increase my property insurance.
I just remembered two I forgot to include...
Well, hell....I have way more guns than I need and/or have any use for. And there's nothin' really useful new out there. Most all "new and improved" reminds me of laundry detergent, etc ad claims. I added a couple worthwhiles but overall the collection's been reduced this year. Didn't have any I wanted to sell, so I resorted to just giving them away.

There's a lot to be said for good karma and taking care of family is a good way to achieve it.

Thats about where I am. I wish my kids were in a position that I could distribute some to them that they might want but the 2 oldest are military and the daughter still lives st home so her picks are still in the house

Heck, GET TWO!
Wish I could also afford an authentic WWII 1911, then I could have one to shoot, one to show.

That Colt does sing. I have a Commander just like it. If anyone should make a 1940s reproduction, Colt should; but they don't.

Hell, i would buy it just to keep company with your M1, but then you need to add a 1903 Springfield as a tribute to WWI.
