Has been getting refreshed. Bought it a couple years ago. It was a police trade in. After putting a lot of rounds through it I decided to make it my carry gun. As with most police trade ins it was probably carried a lot and shot a little. Started by cleaning it up as it looked a little rough. Time and elbo grease took care of that. Changed all the springs,and added checkered Hogue wood grips and stainless hex head grip screws. Found new Meprolight old style night sights on Amazon for 80 bucks and put them on last week. Bought a couple of new mags and it's good to go.

Probably carried less than you think. The K9 was authorized as an off-duty carry, not as some suggest as a NYPD duty firearm.

A little love always shows well on a nice firearm. Is it a stainless finish or black?

I knew they weren't duty guns, but it looked like it was carried a lot. It had scratches and dings that I was able to clean up. The guy I bought it from had the receipt from the shop he bought it from which said it was a police trade in. Oh, and it's stainless.

That Kahr stainless finish is amazing...ain't it? Cleans up great and tough as nails.

If one cannot cuddle up to a K9, then he will never cuddle up with any utter kahr, IMO. Just the best gun Kahr ever made.. Just sayin
