I am new here so Hi :)
I have come across a good deal ($350 for a used Kahr P40 and would like feed back about this model. I like a full grip on my guns - I shoot 40 in both Glock mid size and have a SIG 229
So how is this to shoot? I am 5'7" 160 lbs - I am over 50 and still fit - as can be for a desk jocky etc...
Why why are there not many/frequest on the 40? - I see a lot on the 380..?
Should I hold out to find a P9? Is there some reason people seem to not discuss this one all that much?
Thank you for all feedback:cool:

There isn't anything wrong with .40 S&W and the P40 is an excellent gun. It's just that the 9mms have a bigger following. The 9mm give you adequate power with less recoil than the .40 S&W. If you're a .40 S&W guy go for it. I don't think that you'll be disappointed.

As much as it pains me to agree with Muggsy, he's spot on. Just way more 9's out there.
I don't have a P40 so I have no first hand knowledge. The 40 as I've stated at least a million times and you already know has a lot of muzzle flip.
In a gun P40 size it's probably hard to deal with.
If your a 40 guy, like Muggsy said, go for it.

Thanks guys - thats good to know - Around me there are a couple of K40s (fair prices) and this P40. Not much in the 9s unless I went for the CW line and I prefer the look of the P and Ks
I am looking at this for CC and like the thinness of the Kahrs
Of course I could change things up and go for a 380 .. its just the lack of grip that concerns me.

A CT380 has a bigger grip. http://www.kahr.com/Pistols/Kahr-CT380.asp
Not that I don't like the 9s.

Oh boy - now things get interesting - out to the shops to check the CT380
Its for carry, I have a G-23 and 22 and a S&W 40 (full sized) and my SIG 229 - so perhaps I NEED a 380 for a nice little carry tool :)
