Decided to downsize, in a manner of speaking, and picked up an X-Change kit for the Sig P320. Went with the 9mm Compact and have to say it's kinda neat being able to convert the .40 to 9mm so easily without having to get used to a new trigger pull or overall feel. Plus being able to do it all without messing with the ATF paperwork is nice.

The kits are a bit on the pricey side (paid $329 for mine), but still cheaper than buying a second handgun. Sig needs to drop the price about $100. It also wouldn't hurt if they came out with magazine conversions next so you don't have to maintain multiple sets of magazines.

If you are on the fence about picking up a P320, it's a fantastic handgun and the conversion kits are equally as nice. Only downside to the gun is convincing my thumb that the P320 doesn't have a de-cocker.

I have seen a few of the 320's at our range. I have heard nothing but good things about them from their owners and my buddies that work at gunstores.
SOOOO many guns, so little time.

I bet the 40 mag will work just fine loaded with 9mm. In other model Sigs I use 226 mags in a 229 and in the 239 i use 9mm in my 40 mags.
For the few dollars more I would have got the whole gun and then I'd have 2 barbie pistols.

I have shot my neighbor's Sig P320 compact and it's a real pleasure. He has been hoping they would offer the .22 kit, but gave up and bought the Sig Mosquito a couple weeks ago at the local gun show. I agree the conversion kit is pretty costly. You could get a Ruger SR22 for about what the kit costs. Your Sig P320 is a nice one though.

Look around and some dealers like the new field and stream that just opened near us is offering the p320 night sight compact for a low , low bargain price of 699 bucks . Note I said OFFERING as ether msrp prices are increasing or field and stream missed the boat on pricing in general . Glad I got my P320 when I did and when I did .

My local LGS sells then with night sights for $575.
$515 with standard 3 dot sights.

I'll keep that in mind.
A second P320 is more than just a few dollars difference from a kit. I paid $329 for the kit and a second P320 is running $545 locally.

Also... @Baklash I'm seeing magazines available for both .380 and .22 versions of the P320. My guess is that X-Change Kits for those calibers will soon follow. A Sub-Compact .22 or .380 would work out nicely.

If they come out with the .22 kit I will immediately run down to my buddy's house to tell him so I can watch him throw a little hissey fit. Nah, just kidding. I think he is really happy with the Mosquito he just bought.....at least he was smiling real big at the range this week.

Never gonna happen as the price just jumped to the current $399 and is headed up again soon. Decockers are overrated. I have a Full size, compact and subcompact complete pistols. With the LEO price the X-Changes kits make no sense at all.

Decockers are overrated.

Maybe so but after twenty-five years of having my thumb reach for one, it takes time to get rid of the reflex.

likewise all the reading i've done on the P320 has all been positive, looking forward to bringing 1 home & adding it to the stable.
previously owned the P250c .45 fit like a glove but the long pull just turned me against wanting to shoot it anymore, can't wait to find a 320 to try it out with all the hype it has been generating.

KyGunCo had or has a special going on....the P320 9mm Compact w/night sights was only $443.....but they sold out. Still have the full size and SC. I love my Compact 9mm one (My HD gun). Trigger is amazing.

I have 1500 thru my P320F and about 1000 thru my P320SC. Love them both. The trigger beats Glock and Springfield Armory by miles and miles. the X-Change kits are rip of priced when you can buy another complete pistol for not more than $125. As far as striker fired pistols go SIG has the best of the best IMHO.

I sure like the fde color, but I am afraid that it wouldn't stay pretty for as long as, say, the OD green one, with the dark slide. I think that the fde slide could get ugly with use. I think the other colors would hold up a lot better. I've seen VTAC's in fde, where the only part that looked like it took abuse, was the slide.

berettabone the P320's do show wear a LOT faster on all colors than many other firearms.
