I just wanted you guys to know that I'm doing much better since I started chemo. To those of you who don't know I have stage four non-small cell squamous lung cancer in my right lung. Your prayers and well wishes seem to be working. I came very close to death with a severe lung infection prior to starting the chemo treatments. A chest tube and four weeks of IV antibiotics saved my life. It's good to know that so many of you are pulling for me. I told my cancer doctor that the two of us are going to make the medical journals.

My kid sister and I are going to the range tomorrow. She wants to get a CT380 and her concealed carry permit. I guess that I'm a bad influence on her. Again my thanks for your prayers and cares. They are appreciated.

Muggsy,

I ain't met you, but I've seen the well wishes posted here all the time. So you must be a fair feller to be around.. I'll say this, I'm always proud to be in the presence of a fighter.. It for certain sounds like you're durn sure one of them.

Have a great time at the range and I hope a little gun smoke makes you stronger and ornerier than ever.

Good luck, Muggsy, and my prayers are with you. I have some knowledge of your feelings, as I start a six week, every day, program of radiation next week for my prostate cancer.

Thanks for your update. I was wondering how you were doing. Sounds like you are a tough guy. Don't know who said "Gettin older ain't for sissies".

"Keep that chin up there" muggsy...

"No, really, keep it up, that way the X-ray shows your chest and not your teeth".

That's humor repeated from a coworker that beat lung cancer 7yrs ago. He stayed positive, stayed with us and has stayed a PITA.

We expect nothing less from you muggsy. God bless

Good luck and my prayers to you O'dell. My brother beat prostrate cancer, but lost his life to Parkinson's last year. Keep fighting. You're one of the good ones.

Yeah, cancer sucks - and we know it can be beat, and you are tough enough old bird to kick its a$$. Glad the chemo is working, but don't rush out & buy any Cuban cigars after BHO opens trade with his buddy south of Florida. ;)

My son-in-law's father was diagnosed with this same lung cancer 3 years ago and he is still going strong after his chemo treatments. I'm sure you can do it too. Stay positive and keep your eyes on the bull's eye.

Muggsy sent me a picture of his last range trip and he does seem to do well keeping his eye on the bull's eye.

His little 380 at I think he said 27 feet, all but one in the bull and don't worry about that little guy that was just a fuzz outside, barely.
