Since the last cleaning I've put around 200 rounds each thru my cw9 and cm9. After soaking in brake cleaner, scrubbing with toothbrush, re-soaking, more tooth brush, then Hoppes 9 soaking and scrubbing I still have a ring shaped powder stain on the breech of both guns. This has never happened before. I even used a brass bore brush a little on it. Also tried a little Flitz. No changes in ammo used. Any suggestions on how to remove this. I'm puzzled.

You mean the little rings that develop on the surface the primer end of the bullet sits against when it fires? I think they all get little rings there. There are some stainless cleaning rags that help get some of it off, http://www.brownells.com/gun-cleaning-chemicals/solvents-degreasers/solvents/lead-remover-cloth-prod59702.aspx
The rings will still be there, only lighter. They are a sign of being broken in to me.

I get those on all of my firearms...............................some are easier to get off than others. Character rings.
If you get a "lead away" cloth and do a small amount of rubbing, you will eliminate those rings. I use the "lead away" cloth on my stainless revolvers to remove those same rings from the end of the cylinder. Works great!

I don't worry about it. If you do clean it off, it will only show up again the next time you fire.

Be careful, you don't want some of those chemicals getting in your firing pin hole. My p380 has the same. I also notice my fired brass come out with a "cooked" look, not clean and shiny like they were when they went in. Maybe Kahr has a slightly oversized chamber and its getting blow by?

Good warning. There was just a tiny speck of Flitz left there and I was able to pick it off and then flush a little.

I've used the lead away also. It's a great product.

Yep, that's what I've heard. I plan on getting some.

If you get a lead away cloth, be careful with it because it actually looks like a silicone cloth. Only thing is, you don't want to wipe your gun down with a lead away cloth as it will remove bluing.
I wish the manufacturer would make it a different color to let you know at a glance which one you picked up...

Glad you mentioned that. They are great on stainless, but fatal to a blued finish.
