Anyone use the CHips in there CW or P, with a little sticking out the bottom? Their 8 rounder is shorter than the factory extended 7 round. I read somewhere that you have to bend the nose of the follower down a little for them to feed the last round reliably. I have one, and it feeds the 230 FMJs fine in my CW, but I haven't tried it with hollowpoints. Are there any other prefered mags like Checkmate 7s for the Officer?
Thanks in advance

Heres a 7 round officers actmag. Works with no modification.

I use the Kimber KimPro Tac-Mag 7 round officer's model.. It fits flush. I had to take about 8 or 10 strokes on the top of the feed lips to keep it from making the slide "ride up" a freckle. May never have been a problem, but I thought it might cause the slide not to pick up a round once in a while.
Works great. 8 rounds of 45, that oughta work!

I use Metalform and Mecgar officer/compact tubes with Kahr followers and springs. It's been 5 years since I started using that combo and I've had nary an issue with them.:)
Oops, just noticed that you were looking for more than 6 round capacity, this thread is a long read, but some folks posted about 7 round mags they use:

I got several stainless mags for the Officers ACP from www.joes1911magmania.com for a great price. I had to hit the feed lips just a tad with a file and smoothed them with a stone and they have worked great for the last year or two. They fit flush also.

CMC mags will work but take more tuning than some others. metal has to be removed from on top to seat and allow the slide to function . You may have to dimple the right front side of the mag body when empty so the follower push's the slide lock up . Mine are 8 rounders and they work well in my larger ct45 so they should be long in a cw45
Check-mate mag work well needing only the feed lip bent . You tub has a video - cw45 and 1911 mags - you could watch too .

I ordered mine from Cotes. Did you have to modify the ACT Mags at all, or did they work straight out of the package. Cotes site recommends them for the Kahr CW45.

I got mine with an officers 1911 I bought. Tried them in the cw45 just as they were and they worked fine with no modifications. Others have had success with them also. Funny though, some that tried the 8 round actmags had some issues but I dont remember what they were.

Got the three 7 round Officers ACT Mags from Cotes. Very nice!. I went with blue instead of stainless. Just old school, I guess. Will try them when I get my recoil spring and new mag catch and spring from Kahr (in route, as we speak).
