At the edge of the desert, near where I live, an old M4 Sherman tank stands watch over the Veterans section of a small cemetery. The place has a very peaceful feel to it and I like to believe that those who rest there are the reason for that. I think it quite fitting that their old chariot is there with them.

Excellent! And I agree completely.

My son attended his first Marine Corp Ball just last night in Palm Springs. He looked pretty dapper in his dress uniform.

Love the M4A1 sherman . Nice setting for it, and seems relatively well cared for too.

I Get to play with a M4E4 locally (along with other armor).

Bawanna, If you get a chance to, please pass on a "Happy Birthday and Semper Fi!" to your young Marine for me.

Embalmer, Great photos and thanks for sharing them. I'm guessing there can't be many Locust around in that nice of a condition.

Wynn, I really like that photo from Bastogne...looks like they take really good care of that Sherman.

Regards,
Greg

Son second from right, smiling. Must be having a good time.
He's back at 29 Palms after 6 weeks in Gregs neighborhood learning about getting in and out of helicopters. He's one of 4 guys carrying a HK Squad rifle. Can't remember the details. I asked why him and he said the rest of the pussies thought it was too heavy. Sounds like a Marine to me.

Great photos Bawanna! He's looking good and certainly sounds the part:) I think he does you proud. For sure, I'm proud of our young Marines!
It's a pleasure to see them celebrating the 240th birthday of our Corps!
