My son bent the slide stop spring on his CW40 while reassembling. I have it back functional but I was going to order a new one and looking at the pic on Kahr's site it looks different. Does anyone know if they redesigned it?

I don't know, but I tell you, my p380 is the only gun I'm afraid to take down to clean. Thank goodness for gun snakes.

There has been at least one change to the slide stop springs on poly frame Kahrs that I'm aware of.
On some early guns, the slide stop spring was held in place by a plastic plug/rivet, the spring used with this is different from the one secured with the screw and washer method. I think (but am not positive) that the "plug" type spring may have been used when they first started using a screw to secure the spring. Any chance you can post photos/links to the springs you are comparing?

Had to dig around a bit, but here's a photo I saved from the web (kudos to whoever posted it) partially showing the spring that was held in place with a plug:

Like Bawanna, I'm not aware of any change to the current (held in place with a washer and screw) spring.

Thanks Greg and Bawanna. Upon further examination I think it's just the angle the picture of the spring was taken at on Kahr's website. It appeared to me to have an extra bend when I first looked at it. Sorry for the trouble guys.

BTW Greg, while I've had his CW40 here I decided to do your follower mod on one of his mags as he has had some nose dive issues. I can now chamber rounds from a full mag while "riding" the slide. This was impossible before the mod. I'm going to shoot it some tomorrow to make sure there are no other issues and then I guess I'll get to do the rest of his mags. You are THE MAN!:yo:

Greg is indeed THE MAN!
Been so long since I saw one of those plug setups I forgot all about them. Never have seen one in person, only pictures.
I remember the side plates used to be pinned on rather than screwed too, maybe the same vintage and not really a bad setup at least on the side plate.
