Has anyone gotten one of these from Kahr? It is listed on their Web site for the 9mm polymer pistols (not K9 or T9).
Can you tell me how it runs for you?
I have always been a K9 person, but really would like a suppressor for a Kahr, so I may be sniffing at a P9.
How is it as a platform?
Input much appreciated.

Haven't tried the new barrel, but I love my P9. It's the first handgun I ever owned. It's still my favorite to shoot. It's lost its place in my carry rotation due to adding a P380 and CM9 to the collection, but that gun is insanely easy and fun to shoot. Even managed to take out a metal chicken silhouette at 50 yards at an IHMSA course. Not bad for a pistol that can fit in a large pocket.

I can't see why the threaded barrel would be any different than a standard barrel as far as accuracy and quality are concerned. A Kahr is a Kahr is a Kahr.

I am sure it is a great pistol and a great barrel, but has anyone run one with a suppressor?
Before the days of the factory threaded barrel, I read of function problems with custom-threaded barrels.

what about holsters for these longer threaed barrels. I would think maybe it would limit ur choices, Personally I think that threaded portion without a silencer on it looks like sh!t and with a silencer on it, looks like a turn that got stuck coming out. Just sayin

The threaded barrels usually come with a thread protector that you can screw on when the suppressor is removed. The threaded portion only protrudes about an inch much like Jocko's what-cha-ma-call-it. :)

With a polymer frame, the P9 is 8 ounces lighter than the K9... enough for me to part with my only steel Kahr. I have a Kahr ported barrel on mine... gives another half inch in barrel... can't hurt. The threaded one will add a half inch, too. There's no problem with holsters unless you have a closed end one that's too short. My CrossBreed MiniTuck has no problem with PM9 through PM45 and any barrel type or size.

Still interested to hear if anyone has shot a suppressed P9?
Or, anyone shot any suppressed 9mm Kahr?
I shot my P9 suppressed this afternoon (threaded barrel arrived this morning). It function flawlessly! The barrel is considerably longer than the ported barrels though and hangs out the front a full inch.
I also don't like the way it balances in my hand so.........as far as function it get two thumbs up but sadly not my favorite. It was the barrels maiden and ONLY voyage to the range.
Dave
BTW: The P9 was suppressed using a Gemtech multimount.

Thanks for the report--that seems like it's a bit on the long side-do you think it might work to get a TP9 barrel (.4" longer than the p9 barrel) and have someone thread it? Or is .4 protruding not quite enough? Or are TP and P barrels perhaps incompatible?

It will fit the TP9 hence the added length on my P9 (if I would have read the description thoroughly) duh! Don't I feel foolish and $160 poorer.

Ahhhh. So would a stock TP9 barrel work as a starting point for a homebrew P9 threaded barrel?

Yes, it would look more proportional to the pistol than the kahr factory threaded barrel in the P9.
