I have heard and read good things about the Wilderness 5 stitch belt. Ordered one, and I received it yesterday. It's a nice belt for nylon, fits well, is very stiff, and seems to work well. I used it yesterday carrying my 1911 OWB, and it worked great. The best part of the belt is that there are no holes. The buckle uses a locking bar, so gain some weight, lose some weight, it allows for gain or loss. I got tired of leather belts losing their form, or not fitting because of a bit of weight gain. This seems to solve the problem. I decided to go a different direction, and go with a nylon belt, and kydex OWB holster. It's new for me, because it's usually leather, and leather, and IWB. I still haven't received my holster yet.............kydex from Cook's holsters. I'll be using it to carry my H&K. I'll post a pic when it arrives. I'm getting old, and trying to lighten the load:) Too hard to post a pic of the belt.

Funny. I'm getting old too. But I'm looking for a comfortable sling for my M130.
I saw a review for a leather belt that had a similar locking system and it was very interesting. I thought I bookmarked it but I guess not. I still like leather best but that adjustment system sounds nice.

But yours sounds stiffer and better for every day. I look forward to the pics.

That's a great idea for a belt................I just wonder how the track is attached to the belt itself, and how durable it would be. It is a good idea, belts are not cheap these days, especially leather............

The track appears stitched in between the layers of leather and looks secure to me. The durability of the buckle mechanism and how it clamps to the end of the leather are what I question. Guess I'll have to try one and find out. Keep us posted on how that wilderness belt works out. Thanks.

Looking more closely at the belt, I think it would be too flimsy except for very small firearms, and very small holsters. It doesn't look strong enough for larger firearms. Might work for IWB better than OWB. Let us know what's up if you purchase one............

I have been using a Wilderness Tactical 5-stitch instructor belt for many years as my EDC belt. They work better than most leather gun belts, I carry a Dan Wesson CCO 1911 Every Day except Saturday, on Saturday I carry a full size 1911, works great, very sturdy, do not sag, last for ever. I highly recommend them. Recently bought a Frequent Flyer one with the polymer insert, might be even better, too early to tell.
