T Series picture thread

Well since we now have a home for Kahr lovers how about starting the first picture thread with the "rare" T line!

Here is my T-9 dehorned by Cylinder & Slide, Novak night sights, mag well opened and a Mitch Rosen ARP inside the waist holster

Here's a comparison pic with the famous HK P7. Note the similarity in size, which is close or the same in height, length, width, barrel length, weight and magazine capacity. Both are striker fired, full grip, no external safety, and very accurate examples of excellent pistols.

That's a nice looking holster. One of the very few drawbacks to owning the T series Kahrs are the lack of available holsters. You've solved that problem.

Here's a T9 and TP9 shot to go with my P7 combo above. I'm really liking the TP, the more I shoot it the better it feels.

I like my T9 a lot but end up carrying a PM9 most of the time due to it's ease of carry.

I like my T9 a lot but end up carrying a PM9 most of the time due to it's ease of carry.

I shoot the two about the same. I think that if I had better sights on the P7 that I'd shoot it better than I do now. Both are very fun range guns.

My primary CCW is a HK P2000SK. This gun I shoot quite a bit better than my other Kahrs though it isn't as easy to conceal as a small Kahr.

The PM9 is the only Kahr that I've never had the opportunity to shoot.

While you're here... is there a P7 model that is the most reliable, investable, etc.,... I noticed that some are made in Germany and others in US. I assume the M8 is better for carry... though not a small gun.

They are all very reliable.

What do you mean by "investable"? If you mean worth the most, that would probably be the Jubilee model or the P7K3 especially with all the magazines and barrels in a set.

Many thanks... great info. I did not know about the K3 set. I had also thought that the ones stamped with a US city were assembled here. I know there is a lot of info on these available on the web. I'm interested in getting a 9mm P7 at some point. Parts available?

Like other Kahrs, the T9's extractor serves as a tactile loaded chamber indicator. When a round is chambered the extractor extends out from the slide a bit and you can feel it with your finger. Of course a press-check is the most positive way.

According to Kahr's handy-dandy spec chart:

T9 slide width = 0.90 inches
P9 slide width = 0.90 inches

The slide width is the same, yes, but the frame of the P9 is a little bit wider than the T9 frame. A holster made for a T9 may be too tight for a P9.

EDIT;
I just measured a K9 frame at .75", but the TP frame is .96" This could cause a problem, especially in plastic holsters.

I often carry my P-9 in the T-9 Mitch Rosen ARG holster I have. Fits fine the grips are the big differance, not the slides.
