Looking for help. As the title states, my P380 doesn't go into slide lock after last round. Went through the obligatory break in period and still doesn't kick back with any of the 3 mags that came with the gun. Called Kahr and they sent me a new slide stop spring. Installed that and still no lock back with any of the three mags.
Call Kahr once again. They had me return the pistol and 3 weeks later after numerous work on it They said it was fixed in so many words. Took it to the range and with 18 mag changes NOT one of them went into slide lock after the last rnd.
Any thoughts as to what maybe the cause before I send it back for a second time?
Thanks!

Does the gun lock back if you pull the slide to the rear manually? If so, there is nothing wrong with the gun. Failure to lock back after the last round is fired could be caused by shooting with a limp wrist or weak ammunition. If your thumb is resting on the slide release that can also prevent the gun from locking back after the last round is fired. If the gun won't lock back when you operate the slide manually then there is a mechanical problem and it needs to go back to Kahr.

Sorry, meant to state 95 grain Federal not 115 which is for my 9mm. Also, since it came back from Kahr's gunsmith when you pull back the slide on an empty mag it will go into slide lock
thanks again!

Try a different brand of ammo, sounds like the Federal isn't hot enough to fully work the slide. If it locks open when you manually rack the slide, it should be ok.

Run the gun wet and firm up your grip and I think that you'll be fine.

Its likely you are causing the malfunction based on the way you are gripping the gun. Is your thumb resting on or touching the slide stop lever? The tolerances on the CW380 are so tight that simply touching my ssl when firing will cause it to NOT lock open on the last round.

Ive run 100 rds of 3 types of ammo (Magtech, PMC, S&B) thru my CW380 and the slide has never locked open for me. However, the slide locks open every time for my buddy when he shoots my gun with the same ammo. Its all in the grip.

Do I see it as a design defect? Sort of. I would prefer a ssl that isn't so large and easily caused to malfunction. But then again, this is a tiny pistol pushing the limits of size and engineering to be as compact as possible without compromising the safety or usability of the platform - but it skirts that usability line.

Ill accept that limitation. I could train and change my grip but I wont. I wont be carrying a spare mag with this gun. Its a backup. I shoot it very accurately with my current grip technique (1.5in groups at 5 yds) and, to me, shot placement in a 380 is more important than a tactical reload ability.
