I've been on the fence about purchasing a Kahr P380, seems to be a lot of negative feedback on them. I currently own a Kahr T9, K9 Elite, MK9 Elite and a PM9 (black slide finish, blunt nose). I've had zero issues with my Kahrs. I carry the PM9 the most often and thought about getting a matching P380 for pocket carry.
Well....
There was an issue with frames, with frames that were softer than they ought to be. They flexed when heated a bit. Not dangerous, but caused feeding issues.
Those were corrected by Kahr.
However....
The CW/P380's are built fairly tight, like the rest of the Kahr pistols. And, you gotta hang onto 'em! The smaller the pistol... the more likelihood there is for an issue with ammo - especially strength of the ammo.
You'd be well served to shoot the hottest ammo you can get, for the first few boxes. Expensive... yes. Worth it? Yes. Why? You shoot less ammo, do a better job breaking in that recoil spring assembly. Kahr pistols are not full of burrs and edges that need wearing in. They're just made with tight springs and actions that rely on good recoil and timing of the parts.
And.... to the best of my knowledge, based on stories here, Kahr has never, ever, hung anyone out to dry with getting a gun to function. Sometimes it takes a more than one trip to the mothership... a rare annoyance. But, they stand behind their product well.

I have one and love it. It's my EDC 95-99% of the time. I love my CM9 too, but for comfort and conceal-ability it can't be beat. I had a few minor feeding issues in the break in period, but have well over 300 rounds without a failure through it since then. Just requires familiarity is all.

I can't say enough good things about mine. The only bad thing I can say is the cw380 is just as great, for less money.

I got a CW380 for a great price a year ago. The break-in period was tedious. Just at the point that I was about to give up on the pistol, it started purring like a kitten. In this caliber, the break-in period is real and necessary. Since the Kahr 380s can handle +P ammunition I used it (Precision One) to accelerate the break-in period. Now it's one of my favorite little pistols.

It's only money. Buy what makes you happy. You can always trade it in if it doesn't. I love mine.

I love mine too, although it's mainly a range gun. (I carry it only when my Sig P938 won't do) It's a lot of fun to shoot. I keep breaking strikers though...I thought I was good to go since the last failure was in January. However...wham...failed today....I had a spare ready to go...... Don't let that stop you though...buy one!

I'm on my second one (1st was perfect too, but I wanted Black slide and night sights). Both have been amazingly reliable and accurate. I put a Crimson Trace on this one and while I have several pistols, this is the one I always end up taking with me (in DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster).

I bought a CW380 to measure for making parts. I ended up really liking the thing.
I must be a cup half-full type. I almost always end up liking a gun when I get it.
I can always get another safe. At least the P or CW 380 is small.
