My main purpose was to sight in the AR. But I shot the CM40 for about 30 rounds. Shot right handed til my wrist gave up, and then the left hand til that wrist gave up, heart shot every time! I've never done that well with that gun. I did so well at 7 yards I went out another 5 and did just as well. Maybe after shooting 100 rounds through the AR I was loosened up enough to not give a crap and just shot. Twas a good day.....well, and hour or so.
Oh, I guess it uploaded! The first target was iron sights at half the 25 yards, that was my problem I figured out later, 30 rounds. The second target is with a new scope at 25 yards, got it in there pretty good, 30 rounds. That last target is back to the iron sights at 25 yards, I just ripped through the 30 round mag and did ok. Next time I'll start from scratch at 25 yards and I expect I'll get it in closer.

Thanks Muggsy! But for that Ar 25 yards is like shooting at the tv!

I dunno. I've missed the tv several times. But that was when it was only a 42".

http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-mid-length-5-56-nato-1-8-stainless-steel-freedom-rifle-kit.html with Anderson lower. $379 shipped, $50.37 + tx for the stripped lower. Then $25 for the rear site, then $80 for a NCStar scope, then ....etc.

I kind of like that kit.

Me too! I like the 1:8 twist, I like the stainless barrel, except I thought stainless was non-magnetic, magnets stick to this. Maybe I just don't understand the material or construction. But it shot great! Loads of fun.

Only some stainless is non-magnetic. 416 stainless, like I think is used in Kahr slides, is magnetic, and will corrode, but is resistant to galling, wear resistant, and reasonably strong when tempered or hardened. The really corrosion resistant stuff, like 316, isn't as machinable, wear resistant and galls more readily.
Forgive the nerd in me.
