I was at a show a week ago. I was glad it was before black Friday cause everyone usually spends all their $ on Friday if they have the show after black Friday. This time there were alot of people coming in on Sat selling off guns. However, looked like most were high dollar safe queens that I could not afford.
As usual, I dumped a few I was bored with and waited for something cheap to turn up. Couple of guys I knew came by with some high dollar rifles. I passed them, but they did have a pistola they had not been able to sell off for 3 bills.
The gun was a Diamondback Arms full size 9 mil. I had read a report on it @ a year ago. It has been out for almost 2 years now. I had not seen one. Aparently no one had wanted it for that, so I low balled him at 150. He said he would make another pass of hte show at 2 bills and come back if there were no takers. He came back and gave it up for 150.
The gun is very Gluckish looking. It strips like a Gluck, just like my .40 cal G23, but it is almost a full 5" long. Fame is polymer, slide is melonited stainless. It has 3 dot fixed sights with onlythe rear adjustable for windage. Slid has some very wide & easy to grasp serrations, both front & back. It is a single action, striker fired with no DA mode at all. It also has the Gluckish trigger "safety" thing and no manual safety. And it apparently had enver seen any lube. Previous owner said it shot too low & left. he wanted a more compact gun for CC anyway. Mag is suppose to hold 15 rounds, but I could only cram 14 in it. They said it came with only one mag. A check of the reports verified, just 1 mag. Nothing else came with it.
I did a quick Gluck strip, lubed it and loaded it with cheapo Fed aluminum case 115 gr. FMJs. Gun did shoot low & to the left. I had to move the rear sight a bit to the right & compensate for elevation on my second trip out with WWB 115 gr. It fed both types, but did much better with the Winchester brass case. Feeding was good. Racking the gun was much easier than my compact 9s, .40s, & .45.

My first test target with the Fed aluminum case FMJs. Low & left for sure. Accuracy was not great. It did much better with the WWB FMJs & a rear sight adjustment.

I have heard stories of these selling for @ 240 and up to 350. I have not seen one for sae. But, for 150 I guess it will work. No problems with it mechanically......yet.
