I needed an OWB holster for my P2000SK. As we all know, there are drawers full of unused holsters out there. I have all leather IWB's for holsters, and decided I wanted to go the OWB kydex route this time. Lightening things up in my older age. I did a lot of research, and I mean a couple months worth. It's such a competitive business, and everyone and their uncle are making(or trying) kydex holsters. I eventually went with a Cook's holster. I wanted/needed something that was a one clip, quick on, quick off, in and out of the car, etc. I ordered, and received it in 2 weeks, which was a much faster turnaround than most. My firearm has Big Dots, and oversize mag releases, so it was a bit of a stray from a stock gun. I am a happy camper..............I go for the three F's............fit, form, function. I don't go for the bling. I tried it out this weekend, and it works exactly like I hoped it would. The retention is good, without having to crank the screw down. The nice "click" when it goes in is comforting. It rides nice, you can slide it on your belt, if need be, and it is easy on, easy off. The firearm fits perfectly, especially by the mag releases. Either it's from experience, or he has a P2SK with the oversize releases. All of the edges are smooth, there were no nicks, cuts, gouges, etc. You can also adjust for cant from 0 to about 20 degrees. I have no connection with Cook's. Just wanted to share some info, in case someone is looking for a kydex holster. I had good communication with them, and they always emailed back right away. I definitely could have gotten a cheaper holster, but I don't think it would have been better. Nice holsters. If/when I look for another kydex holster, I will definitely keep Cook's in mind. Another company that I may try is Reign Tactical. They make some very interesting holsters, a lot of stuff that's out of the ordinary.

Out of the ordinary? That sounds like it's right down my alley. The Cook looks good.

How is it with respect to printing? It looks like that single clip might cause the gun to stick out a little as opposed to a pancake style which pulls the gun in close to the body to minimize printing. I ask because I only carry OWB an I'm looking for an easy-on/easy-off alternative to the high-ride pancake holsters I normally use (mostly High Noon) for use when I need to make a quick trip to the store or something like that.

I really don't worry about printing................I print all the time carrying front pocket, and in 4+ years of carry, only 2 people have noticed, and one was a cop. I purchased it for the quality, and the convenience. I realize that other kydex holster designs can pull your firearm in real close, and yes, this one will stick out more, but I wasn't worried about that. This is strictly for under a jacket, or out in the wide open. I use all High Noon leather products for my other holsters. I see that High Noon is now in the kydex business. Their kydex products are very expensive, and I didn't like the styles. I like the fact that I can take it off and put it on with ease, and if I don't feel like taking it off in the car, I can slide it to an outside AIWB position, for more comfort. I like that I can adjust the cant. If I ever purchase another kydex holster, it will probably be of a different design, and I'll probably purchase it from Reign Tactical. They do some amazing things with kydex and color. This type of holster makes those quick trips a lot easier.
