read today where our fokking POTUS has now turned pro gun. that stupid fokker siged off on a bill that will alow our govbernment to give 10K Military 1911's to CMP ivilian markmanship program to sell to the shooting public. Have no idea what the price or procedures willb eo to obtain one but it is a start for maybe down the road for ou7r government to release more surplus guns to the generaql publc. My readings was that they limited it to 10K for the first year and will adjust according after tha.t. So kudos to the worthless POTUS for more than likely signing off on a bill that he didn't read. So much forhis gun control stance-= huh.



I also heard that muggsy is going to be in control of the distgrubution of these 1911's, so all kahr members will get first dibs , after ol jocko, OF COURSE. Just sayin

You can bet yer sweet bum that if Obama signed a gun give away bill into law that there was something else in that bill that he desperately wanted. I don't think that he's ever read a bill, but he has plenty of toadies to read the bills for him. I don't think that he can read. He's a Harvard graduate after all. The only smart thing that Obama ever did was to put me in charge of 1911 distribution. I want you all to know that I'll be totally impartial in the distribution of the 1911s. Now, who's voting for Cruz? :)

Just had an epiphany moment reading Jocko's post. All this time I was thinking the acronym POTUS meant something totally different, but the context in which Jocko used it I finally realized that it stands for Piece Of Totally Useless Sh!t :biggrin1: Thanks Jocko!

IME, you just don't order from ODCMP and send them the check. Years ago, I ordered a government surplus .22 target rifle from them. Some of the documentation I had to submit included: Proof of U.S. Citizenship and age, membership in a CMP affiliated organization, proof of participation in a marksmanship activity (exemption if purchaser is over 60 years old), and passing of the NICS background check. Please refer to: www.ODCMP.com. and read the CMP Universal Order Form CAREFULLY. If the order form is not filled out correctly with all supporting documentation, they send your form back to you. In the meantime, you lose your place in line for whatever you're purchasing. Did I forget to mention that orders are processed on a "first come, first served system" and CMP will NOT accept early orders? Once the word gets out that the pistols are for sale, 10K 1911s will not stay on the shelves for very long. What the lucky purchasers will receive is a "serviceable" government surplus 1911. All of them will show heavy useage but they will be safe to fire. Forget the "unissued, mint condition" pistols, CMP will filter these out to be sold at auction. Nonetheless, those who get one will have one at a reasonable price considering today's market prices. From what I read, there are 100K pistols and CMP can sell 10K every year. Good luck to all of you prospective buyers!
