Just picked up my new to me, Beretta 92G Brigadier Elite....Found it on GunBroker...Price was right...Condition is pretty darn nice.
Came with a couple 10 round mags, but have a bunch of 15s and 18s from my 92 FS Inox.
This will be my Steel Plate/USPSA gun next season. Tune up/hop up parts on order....:D

I always thought those were a bit too busy looking in the controls area. Silly me. Fortunately I came around. That gun is sweet! Well done!

Looks good for being almost 16 years old. Usually, the word elite on the slide is worn, and the lettering is dull. Grips look good, color looks good.

I always shot the Beretta well...

Whats the diff between the plain 92FS and the M9 and the Brig?

Right? It's almost a shame I plan on using it as a game gun all summer, going in and out of the old Kydex holster...

The Elite is a 92G, (decocker only, no safety), with a Brig slide, which gives you a removable front sight, and a beveled mag well. There are a few other things, but those are the important ones for action pistol stuff.

What are the tune up/hop up parts??????????????????

The Brig slide is also heavier, for a bit less recoil...........................

That's what they're for...................................:)

Hmmm...let me remember what I ordered. A set of G10 VZ grips, an "Action tune kit" from Wilson combat (a stiffer trigger bar and some of the springs), a Wilson short reach trigger (have it on my 92FS and love it), a "D" hammer spring, a Wilson front fiber optic sight and rear battle sight, a Beretta Elite II hammer, and I think that is all for now....

Before we went to G21's our department issued 96G Elite II's in stainless. Good looking gun and never gave us any issues. Before that 92's.
I got one of the retired 92's, couldn't pull off one of the 96's, piggy was short at the time.
It was right at the time Beretta came out with several new models, the Vertec or Vortec, can't remember, couple others.

We regretted rushing the purchase after seeing a few of the other brand new options but they did fine.

What's the difference in the hammers???????????????????
You mean between the Elite and the Elite II hammers?
The skeleton hammer on the first Elites has reputation of light strikes if you put in a softer hammer spring. The Elite II hammer is heavier and solves that issue.

I've owned a couple 92's, and a few 96's..................always liked them, I won't give up my current 96, the only one left.

So got the 13# Wilson hammer spring, Elite II hammer, Wilson trigger bar (that was a chore to fit), Wolff trigger spring and the extend mag release, all in this morning.

Also replaced the sights with Wilson battle sight in the rear and their green F/O up front.

Got the short reach trigger and VZ grips yesterday and put them on before going to the range last night for some holster drill practice.
I was a little rusty, but the new gun shot great....It's a keeper.http://berettaforum.net/vb/images/smilies/smile.gif

Didn't like the tan/brown colored grips on the Elite though, and this morning I switched them out with the dark cherry ones from my FS. I think it worked out, and the tan/brown ones look good on the Inox FS.

I'm surprised that you replaced the front sight with a fiber optic. Maybe you've got younger eyes, but I just can't see those fiber colors any more. I painted the 3 dots on mine white. Seems like it's the only thing I can see these days. The cherry grips do look better on the Elite. Two fine looking specimens. I've always liked the 92/96 series. Super dependable. They just have a "feel" when you rack the slide......quality. I also like the fact that I can put my mag release on the right side. I don't have to re-grip when changing mags.

Well I am only 59....:p

I find when outdoors shooting, which is mostly what the Elite is for, the green fiber just jumps out at me. Much more than the original 3-dot sights. A bigger problem at my age is focusing on the front sight, with my far sighted, bifocal glasses...

I think it's mostly up the person. They never worked for me neither but others here just love em.

I'm color blind which probably don't help none along with high mileage eyes. Just don't pick em up.

I'm a year older, and near sighted with bifocals. I have no problem seeing the front sight itself, just the colors. I think that's why I like the "dot the I's" so much on my MK. I put some XS Dot's on another firearm, and they helped tremendously. Sticking to the same style sights helps for me.

Actually, it's called "color deficiency" ....................no such thing as color blindness. When I go to the eye doctor, and they pick up that stack of cards, with different letters and numbers, jumbled in with colored bubbles, I just tell them. " Might as well just put them back down, cause I can't see any of them.":p
