Recently bought a cm9. Love how it feels. Already have a soft iwb holster. Love my kydex owb for my Glock 21. Want something similar. Custom shops want 50-70$ which is not what I'm looking to spend. And most cheaper shops only have the molds for the PM9 which I have read/heard won't take a cm9 since the slide cuts are different. Any place you guys have used in particular? Is there a bigger company like blackhawk or galco that makes solid kydex or hard plastic owb holsters? I would like one that is close to the body and isn't spaced too far away.
Secondly, would any magazine labeled for the Pm, Mk series compatible with the cm9? Thanks in advance!

I have several "PM9" holsters that all fit my CM9 just fine, including a molded kydex pocket holster. The slight differences in the shape of the slide don't make a difference. I even carry it in a Comptac kydex OWB paddle holster for my P9. The CM9 is shorter, but clicks into place just perfectly and has good retention. Picked it up on Ebay for relatively cheap.

You must remember, usually you get what you pay for. I just went through an extensive search for kydex for one of my firearms. Ebay is about the only place where you will find one in the price range your looking at. Everyone else charges what they charge for a reason..................more extensive firearm base, better quality, and are able to fit custom firearms.

Alien gear makes a decent kydex iwb holster for a pretty good price, 40 bucks or so...check um out www.aliengearholsters.com and welcome to the forum 6shotshorty

So regardless of the differences in slide cuts, the retention is still solid? Is there any play in the retention? Does it wiggle around any?

I've been considering getting a holster from these guys, they look great for the price and I've heard some folks rave about their service: https://clingerholsters.com/

The only reason I'm hesitating is IWB each time I've tried it seems like strapping a only slightly dull rock under my belt. So, I end up with my PM9 in a pocket.

I keep thinking I might want to carry something a bit bigger, but just haven't done it yet.

I carry a 1911 and glock 21 iwb. Both owb time to time.
I really want to carry owb with my cm9 since i find it a lot easier to access sometimes. And I'm ok with using a soft holster for iwb for such a small and light pistol. I emailed them seeing if they can do an owb piece. Hopefully they say yes!

I wasn't paying enough attention. I love the Silent Thunder for OWB. I have a few of them and they work great. http://www.giholsters.com/silent-thunder-holsters/

I can sympathize..............I really don't care for IWB, but, I got a leather IWB holster from High Noon. It's flexible enough, and minimal enough, that it's tolerable. I can move it to an AWIB position in the car, for more comfort. They don't break the bank, and I have used it on many occasions where the dress code was a bit higher than my usual standards. That front pocket carry is hard to beat. I have been carrying OWB under a coat, and it's a relief to be able to carry differently and comfortably, but that will only work while the weather stays colder. I usually also carry front pocket. I don't think I could use kydex as an IWB holster, unless I planned on standing the entire time. A bit stiff for my tastes.

Hasn't made a bit of difference in any of my Kydex holsters for the CM9. All of the kydex gives that lovely clicking sound and have not had any play where it wasn't supposed to. The pocket holster is an F3 from ebay, the OWB paddle is a Comptac, and holds both the P9 and CM9 beautifully.

Glad I could help. Those F3 kydex pocket holsters are probably my favorite pocket holsters available.

On the magazine question, yes, Kahr 6 round mags work in any 6 round gun. All the larger ones will also work in a 6 round gun of the same caliber. Pro Mag made or makes some aftermarket mags that many do not find value in. Beware of those.
