Fox News just announced the Bergdahl has been charged with desertion before the enemy and misconduct before the enemy. When he's convicted I hope that they hang the coward.

Can Obama pardon him? If he can, he will.

IMO, it will likely happen. Remember the POTUS appeared in the Rose Garden with Bergdahl's parents and there were smiles all around. The POTUS dug deep to pay Bergdahl's ransom and now that a court marshal is in the future, the POTUS doesn't want to appear the fool. He will likely pardon for time served as a prisoner of the Taliban and a DD. Is justice served? No but such is the world of politics where there is no black or white, just shades of gray.

Dog and pony show for us peons. Nothing is going to happen that will make our fearless leader look bad.

I would like to see them hang him, but it will not happen. would settle for 40 years of hard labor though.

I think just to keep it gun related I'd prefer firing squad. Use some very poor shots, instructions to just keep trying till they get it done.

Maybe make it a challenge at like 300 yards.

Dang private, you just winged him on the elbow, adjust your windage! OH a kneecap, that had to hurt, up 15".

Sometimes I hate myself for the thoughts that wander through my small mind.

We could draft Jocko for the firing squad, but that might be construed as cruel and unusual punishment for Bergdahl.

someone on another gun forum mentioned the fact that it may not all be a lost cause ... now "thu wun" can trade him for 10 Syrian refugees

what a way to sweeten the original trade deal

(Doing my best Eli Wallach)

"Eh Bergdahl my Friend... there are two kinds of people in this world, hah? Those that serve time for desertion, and those with loaded guns. You serve..."

If he survives any time in leavenworth, Zippy will pardon him, unless the trial ends once Obama is out of office, hopefully he actually leaves....

Obama already looks bad if you have the right view of him. :)

Can't we just give him back?

Frankly, I'd rather see those five Taliban commanders back in cages at Gitmo than one Bergdahl serving time at Leavenworth. We got S***WED on THAT swap.
