Thought I'd share photos of two .22s I've stumbled across of late.
Beretta Mod. 76 t: I've always liked the looks of these...now I can say I like the feel as well. :)

Charter Arms Pathfinder in .22 Magnum: This is an older piece made at the Stratford Conn. address. I was fortunate to win an auction on eBay for a .22LR Pathfinder parts kit (everything but the frame & barrel) at a good price. I was even more fortunate that the 22.LR cylinder works as well as, if not better than, the .22 Magnum cylinder. The crane from the .22LR parts kit will need some fitting, but I'm in no hurry to do so as it's not much of a chore to use the crane that came with the gun for either cylinder. (photo shows the .22LR cylinder in the gun)

Very nice find, GB. I think that my stepfather had one of those pathfinders that he used to shoot rabbits with when we had a good tracking snow. He was pretty good with it.
Awww man!
I had a PB 76 back in the late 80's-early 90's. The aluminum shroud on the barrel quickly became history. My good friend KJ and I stayed up ...late... and I mean LATE one night, in the shop, fabricating a new massive shroud out of a block of stainless that was left over from a mold cavity repair. Ended up being about 2inches tall and an inch wide, and stuck out past the end of the barrel by a half inch or so.
I was reminded of my uncles remark about flying a 707 for the first time. He said it was flying a porch, with the house out behind you. The 76 weighted about 7lbs when I was done with it, with scope rail and Redfield pistol scope. It became a "benchrest" pistol, and would regularly break clay birds at 100 yards measured. Regularly is defined by "when there ain't hardly no wind". Given a cool calm morning... or late afternoon.... it was fairly boring to shoot clay birds set on the mound, as they were pretty much one shot kills.
Maybe Charter will fix up that cylinder under its $50 program? Be worth it maybe

Is that one of the early Berben imports? Mags may still be available but the supply is low. I found some mags for my 70s in Italy at this site, (found on the Beretta forum).

Thanks for the comments folks :)
CJB, I liked your 76 story, thanks for sharing that!
Both cylinders of the Pathfinder work fine with the one crane. I think other crane just need a little massage to work.
Baklash, it has an AD stamped near the proof marks...I'm guessing 1978 because of that.
ripley16, it is a Berben Import. I mistakenly removed the U from the serial number when using Photo Shop to manipulate it for the internet...sorry if this caused any confusion as to the production time frame. Thanks for the info on the magazines.

Nice pistolas compadre!!!!! I could kick myself in the *** for selling 2 old Pathfinders back in the 70s. I had one like the one ya got and a 6" one also. They arte very nice to shoot.
Love that Pathfinder, Greg. Especially with those bulldog grips. My late '60s Undercover is a never sell gun and I now really wish I'd bought a Pathfinder companion piece.

Thanks!
I do agree that the Pathfinder and Undercover go well together as companion pieces:)
