View Full Version : Do Older P45's have same Front Sight dovetail as newer models?

In looking at the Kahr.com for sights, there are no fiber optics listed for the "older models". Looking at their explanation for how to determine "old" from "new", it only specifically shows the rear dovetails. Nothing is mentioned about the front. However, when you look up the HiViz front sight, and the paired front/rear, they both specifically say "only for new model".

I'm wondering if anyone knows if perhaps the front dovetail on the old and new model P45 might be the same and only the rear dovetail was changed on the new model.

I've added a red fiber optic on my CW9 and CT380 and love them. I'd like one on my P45 also.

If no one knows, I'll give Kahr a call after the holidays.

Its my undertanding that all 45 ACP Kahr models have the "new" dovetail, front and rear (and I think only the rear changed, actually, on the 9mm and 40cal pistols)

I believe the dovetail changed both front and rear. I have a K9 with the "old" dovetail and it is visibly different from the new ones.

Not on the .45's, they came out after the "new" dovetail

I concur. There should only be one "age" of sights available for the P45.

That makes it easy.
