I currently use ranger t ammo in my ruger p94. Which it seems to shoot any ammo that I run through it fine. My question is I just got a CM40 and its my first kahr. Is there any ammo that I need to stay away from? Ive read critical defense runs good in the kahr but I have a lot of ranger T's and PDX1's. Also is there a way to find out what date my cm40 was made by the serial #. Thanks for the help.

Every gun is different. What works well in mine may not work at all in yours. If you stick with good quality brass cased ammo you should be fine. Ranger T is a remake of the old Winchester Black Talon ammo. It should be fine.

Is that Ranger T or Ranger SXT?

Ok. I'll shoot a couple clips of them after I break it in and see what I think.
Their Ranger T In a Brown box. I have 8 50 round boxes. Got them for $27 a box about 5 years ago.

Hope it works for ya, that's a good supply of carry ammo.

Thanks. I polished the feed ramp and the bottom edge of the bore. http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr181/davhul/Mobile%20Uploads/image.png (http://s482.photobucket.com/user/davhul/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image.png.html)

If your CM40 functions with the Ranger and PDX1, use it for carry ammo since you have that much on hand. My PM40 is stoked with 180gr Ranger T as well. It's pretty good stuff!
