Hello everyone. First post, I'm new to the forum and recently purchased a CM9 and I like it a lot. I got a Concealment Solutions IWB micro mamba holster and immediately noticed when holstering the gun the slide release catches on the holster leather. As you know the front part of the slide release is kinda thick and has 90deg angles. I have to holster it at an angle so it does not catch the leather and go straight down. I don't think this issue is related to this specific brand of holster. I think that the slide release design is what is the generator of the problem. I have not tried other types of holsters, but I wanna hear your opinion if you have experienced this issue. Im considering ordering one more slide release from Kahr and file the front at a 45 deg angle. I'm sure it will make a difference. I've carried a Shield and G43 in crossbreeds which are almost identical as the CS holsters and never had this problem.

Thanks

A lot of the guys have pared down the slide release. It isn't at all hard to do. Mine was left as is and I turn the butt of the gun outward slightly until the slide stop lever clears the lip of the holster. To me it isn't a problem.

You'll notice soon enough the corners of the slide release are a little tough on your thumb. As Muggsy said a lot of us have touched up/rounded off those corners to smooth them down. I did it to mine but never had a holstering problem so I left the front corners alone. No reason I can think of you couldn't round those out too. You're going to love that gun.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll try to take off the edge a bit tomorrow on a grinder. If I mess it up I can always get another slide stop.

You can contour it pretty quickly with a hand file and finish with finer wet/dry paper and oil. I am not steady enough to do that fine of work with a grinder.
