I have a PM9 that I haven't shot in a year or two, and on the latest trip to the range, it dropped the mag 2-3 times while in recoil. After looking around a bit, I contacted Kahr and got a replacement magazine catch. The question is, are there any instructions available for how to replace the part? Thanks folks.

We had a discussion about it but I can't find it right now. Basically, you remove the slide and mag so you can see into the mag well. You'll see a spring (looks like a piece of wire) resting on the mag release. You need to lift the end off the mag release and place it to the far right. The best way to do this is to use a dental pick or equivelent tool to get under the spring and lift it off. Then just push the release button through the grip. Reverse to replace it.

Using the tool make it a simple task, but I wasted 2 hourse trying it with screwdrives, etc. The wimpy kind are at Walgreens, Walmart, and others. I found sturdy ones at a gunshow for $2.

After 2, I feel like an expert now. It can be done with a small flat screwdriver and is easier to come in from the top and keep a slight pressure on the button side so the spring will pop out of the channel. Once you eyeball it and get your bearings, it's also easier to do it by feel so your big head doesn't get in the way....:)

Very cool, thanks for the replies... I'm still slightly nervous about pulling this off, but I get the basic concept now.

A good light source really helps... maybe head or eyeglasses mounted. You have to make up for not having that third... or FOURTH hand, sometimes.
