cm9 Mags?

New here and just got my first Kahr, the CM9. I want to order some new magazines and i am looking for some opinions on what to get? Was thinking the 7 rounder and maybe and 8 rounder? What do you guys recommend? How far does the 8 rounder stick out?

Some report problems running extended mags in their Kahrs but I've personally experienced no troubles with my MK9. Those 8 rounders would stick out a lot but I think they might be a good idea for backups. I usually carry two extra 7 rounders.

I have a 7 round mag and haven't had any problems. Sticks out about 3/4". I have a CM9.

Ok thats what i was worried about the reliability issues, some have said the stock 6 rounders are better. I think i'm going to order a 7 and 8 rounder for backups. I also ordered talon grips, is there any other upgrades you guys would reccomend for a new cm9 owner? Any must haves?

Ive used the 8 round mag from my old CT9 in my CW9 with no issues. Anybody try the 10 round Promag?

I bought an extended pro mag to use in my cm9 as backup. Really love the +2 capability.
But a must have? Hmmmmm I'd say an extra mag and a holster. Other than that, talon grips can work, but I didn't buy any for my gun. Not as slick as I thought it would be

How far does the 8 rounder stick out?

a lot...Here is a pic with the 8 rounder installed. I only carry my 8 rounder as a back up mag. I carry with either the 6 round or 7 rounder with the finger extension installed in the gun.

I've only had several (non-ammo related) malfunctions with my two PM9s out of those 9K rounds I've fired through them. All but two malfunctions occurred with the factory 7 rounder mag. Maybe it is the pressure from my pinky on the extended end of the 7 rounder mag that contributed to those malfunctions, I don't know... In any case, I no longer carry the 7 rounder mag but only use it on the range.
