Hi, All-
Just joined the forum today... have been doing some studying of Kahr's, and thought this was the best place to do some learning! Particularly enamored with the T9... sorry to see they don't make them anymore. Am a fan of high quality all metal 9mm's.
Retired Navy Chief ET, with another 28 years working for the Navy as an ATC/Weather systems technician.. my wife and I (and daughter and grandkids) moved up here from NE Florida- where I worked at NAVSTA Mayport after we retired. Now living in beautiful Winterport, Maine- and loving every moment of it!

Welcome aboard, Wes. If you're still loving it come June, it was meant to be.

Any similarities with the Penobscot and St. John's?

This winter has been gravy so far!!! Very mild, only our 2nd snow yesterday/last night... about 4". Couple days after Christmas- maybe 3". Was here last year- people say it was either the worst winter in memory- or 2nd only to the previous one... we had about 134" of snow! I could stand out in the road- and my wife could not see me from inside the house for the berm built up by the snow plows! And I loved every minute of it! (You can ALWAYS put on more clothes... you can only take off so much!)
Hmmm.... similarities to the Penobscot and St. John's rivers??? Well, there's no alligators in the Penobscot... or water moccasins! No icebergs in the St. John's... They are both wet...
Our home is up on a bluff overlooking the Penobscot, at Bald Hill Cove... just south of the Hampden/Winterport border, just off US-1A... man, when the wind comes roaring up here- it howls like a banshee!!

Sounds like it was meant to be, Wes. Maine has the prettiest coastline anywhere on the eastern seaboard. Enjoy your little piece of heaven.

Oh, you have no idea just how true that statement of yours is... SO MANY things had to fall in place for it all to work- we sold our house in 21 days without a realtor... not even a sign on the front lawn! I had to choose my retirement date from Civil Service about 3 months in advance... arbitrarily picked July 31st 2014 out of the air... the buyer's requested closing date??? July 31st! My wife sold all the contents of her daycare center to basically 2 buyers... so many things- and they all did. We found a 200 acre farm to rent a house on- with no lease- month-to month basis- unheard of here- $1300/month... We found a beautiful home in a beautiful area- and closed on it 3 months to the date of our closing on the sale of our house in Florida...
Every single time I go anywhere here- I think how lucky I am to live somewhere I love so much. The people are amazing- no traffic- peaceful- Love it!

Welcome! BTW, as far as I know they are still making the T9. It is still active on the Kahr web site.

Welcome aboard, Chief. There's a lot of Navy on this site. I'm an former snipe myself. Any Kahr pistol is a good choice, but the all steel models are a cut above.
