Hello all! Just picked up a very lightly used MK9. Just got back today from running 250 rounds through her. It was a little slice of heaven. I'm new to this forum, and thanks to you great folks I was able to follow the break in procedure. No issues at all. I am extremely impressed with this firearm. I've ccw a Glock 26 for years. Got tired of feeling like I had plastic brick in my pants. The MK9 is a dream to carry. Comfortable AIWB, IWB, ankle, and did I mention that it slips great into a Sticky holster in the back pocket of a pair of jeans. .......and its dead sexy compared to plastic.

Paid a little under 5 out the door. Night sights are bright and came with 3 mags. Ordered the wood grips and 2 more 7rd mags from Kahr and had them in 3 days. The poly grips were thinner but the wood just oozes a little more class.
I am an extremely happy camper. Thanks again to all who contribute to this forum. There is a wealth of information here!

Great deal. Did you have any issues with the installation of the wood grips?

Muggsy, check this webite regularly for a belmished model and you may one day be able to post a find that members say the same thing you are saying. Look for the "blemished" models. I got a great deal on a blemished K9 in Dec. 2014 from Buds.

Its a GC67XX so they popped right on. I did order the longer screws. The original screws would have definitely been to short.

Wow! that little pistol is sseeexxxyyy! Very nice! I have never seen one of those in a local gun shop. If I had, I may have picked one up over my CM9, as long as the felt weight difference wasn't very much. I wouldn't think it would be more than a few ounces heavier than a polymer frame version.

I actually went to my 3 larger LGS in the area looking for a PM9 or a CM9. Saw one CM9 at one shop and looked at a CW380 at another. Went home to sleep on it, next morning stopped at a mom and pops gun shop, and I'll be damned if the didn't have two MKs in the counter. Couldn't resist bought the tighter and newer one on the spot.
..guess it was meant to be.
There is a definite weight difference, but I'm ok with that. I'm coming from carrying a glock 26 or a sig p226. So hell yeah, its a lot lighter than the sig, bout the same as the 26 just thinner.

I will say that Kahrs value line is great at the price point. I'm going back for the CW380 for the wife.
She'll be happy, and I'll break it in for her. That's a win, win in my book..

Very nice. I ordered wood grips for mine but eventually retured to the stock grips. They were just a little too wide for my liking. But i love the looks of them. Welcome to the mk9 club!

They are wider than the stock by quite a bit. AIWB or pocket I find the stock grips easier to conceal. Firing with any speed, control is where the wood grips really shine.
To me that's what really counts.
Although I am tempted to attempt thinning a smooth set of wood grips. Maybe I can have my cake and eat it too.

Our G10 grips are the same width as the stock grips and use the stock mounting screws. The texture is setup for concealed carry in that it doesn't snag but provides a much more secure grip than the factory grips or the wood grips. FWIW.
