New to Kahr's. On my CW9 the mag that came with it drops out when mag button is pushed but two extras that I bought are hard to remove. Any way to get them to fall out with the mag release button pushed in. Thanks Bob

A common problem that has been traced to a slight bulge at the top of the mag, posted about often with a simple fix, here's a few:

Be patient, and Muggsy will no doubt be by shortly, to tell you to send the whole works to Kahr.
In the meantime feel free to raid the fridge and the Cols. cigar box.

Thanks for the info on the magazines. I'll try it on mine.

You had better put a smiley face at the end of a statement like that or I might take you seriously. You know that I don't have much of a sense of humor, CJB. :)

Bob, the easiest fix for the mags is to gently squeeze the area near the feed lips in a smooth jaw vice. You'll need to take the mags apart before you squeeze them. It only takes a few thousandths of an inch of movement to make the mags drop free. When you're finished make sure that the follower slides freely in the mag. If you do happen to screw them up just send the bill to CJB. He'll gladly pay for a new mag, generous man that he is.

Just worked on the magazines and they still stick. Looks like the mag release is binding them because it leaves a scratch on the side next to the release. I'm used to mag's falling out with my Kimber, Smith and Sig so that bothers me. I'll get used to it. Bob
Can you twiddle a little meat off the release?
Maybe it needs to go to Kahr....like Muggsy was delinquent in mentioning?

Sounds like there might be a little bur on the mag release. Easy to clean up if that's the case.
Muggs and CJB, don't make me separate you two. Damn kids.

How far off are the dimensions of the 2 that stick from the one that drops?
Were the two extra magazines packaged or marked as 9mm? I ask because when I had my CM9 and a PM40 top end for it, the 9mm mags would drop free, but the 40 mags had to be pulled out.

Greg

sandy22:
Sounds like you have determined the problem to be the mag release.
If you decide to remove it to mod, putting an empty case over the mag release spring will make re-installing the release much easier.
just sayin'

You got it all wrong Col.!
With my beloved online chum Muggsy's present condition, a bit of banter is therapeutic.
Its carefully designed to keep his blood pressure up, and to.... well to put it bluntly... to give him something to strive for, a reason not to give up his fight.
Even if that reason is to muster up the tenacity, the courage, and willpower to provide meaningful counter banter to his well considered faux foe, yours truly.
Be it told, in however hushed words... separating us would be tantamount to signing Muggsy's death warrant. We certainly don't want that, do we?
Either that, or you're pissed (more than usual) about me directing the OP to help himself to your cigar box, which I happen to know is currently stocked with El Toreador Segundo Especiales, Numero Sesenta y Nueve. BTW, they're really smooth!
