View Full Version : Glad I picked up a CM45
Picked this up Monday. Just got to put rounds through it today. Runs perfectly. Put two mags of Gold Dots through it first, then ran 50 of my reloads. GDs threw brass to 4:30. My reloads threw them from 5:00 to 6:00. Once that recoil spring takes a set, I think she'll be good.

SHWEET and you're right about the spring
Picked up a Mec Gar officer size 1911 mag also.
Modified the lips on one of my full size GI 1911 mags. All feed perfect, but only the Mec Gar locks on last round.

AWESOME!!. Did you buy it new? CM45 is my current obsession. It will be my next purchase most likely. My CM9 needs a big brother. I'm curious, can you hand eject live rounds with it? I have read that is a potential problem on some of these but I have no actually experience with it myself. Thanks. And I am extremely jealous!!! :D

Welcome. Nice photo!
I did buy new. Yes, it ejects live rounds just fine. However, the only live rounds I tried are Gold Dots, and my reloads, which are 1.22 in. Haven't tried any factory fmj.

Sweet. Thanks. And I love the markings on the slide, looks nicer than the ones on my CM9. Hopefully, Kahr starts to do that on all the economy line pistols now going forward.

Hey man, I saw your ad on Armslist, or at least I assume it's you because it's the same picture. You already looking to trade the CM45 for an XDS? What's up? What is it you didn't like about Kahr? I am thinking about getting a CM45 next and just curious your reasons. Thanks.

Yes, it's my ad. Nothing at all wrong with the cm45.
Not a thing. Just a feeler ad. I want an XDs like you want a Kahr, lol.

Ok. I understand that. I buy and sell guns all the time too. I was worried that you were having problems with the CM45. I have considered the XDS too. The Bi tone XDS .45 is nice looking but pricey...

I really like my CM45, even though the recoil spring is still awful damn tight, it's not as bad as when it was new. A ranger officer saw me struggling to chamger a round and he walks up and asks if I was having a problem, and I said yeah, this new pistol is a little stiff. I'm sure he was thinking "What a wuss" as I handed him the pistol to chamber a round. After he struggled to chamber the round he handed it back, without the smug look on his face and said "WOW, that is stiff, I'd put about 500 rounds though that before I'd carry it" then walked off and didn't bother me or offer any help again.
