gunsamerica took it down ... i had that linky saved for a week... finally got around to posting it here
Sorry Muggsy, you especially would have liked it. The hammer forging part was only a little bit of it, but the most interesting imho. The rest was the way Ruger is building things, how they get tested right AT the assembly line (in cargo containers!), and returned to the assembler if there's a problem. Nice vid, I hope they don't bury forever.

It's funny to me that they put that forging operation into a cell, exposing all the cell workers to the noise.

if you notice the finish on the "raw" hammered barrel
I've got one of those on my 10/22 - it was never Ruger marked, but sold to Clark Custom. Clark cut off the old chamber, rechambered them to a "Clark chamber .22", then machined on the shoulder, underlug recess and gave them really nice crowns. They made no qualms about using Ruger barrels for their "Clark" guns.
That was a very similar to the vid I wanted to show.... so THANKS!
