That link was great fun to read. Thanks.

As far as truck-jacking capers go, it would be easy to write a scenario based on one, but two things immediately come to mind.

1. Unless we brought in a real truck, it would be a huge project to build a truck prop.

2. A caper like this would involve physically removing some sort of cargo, which cannot realistically be done "on the clock".

A caper could be worded in such a way that a truck was used as bait / a set-up, and you had to shoot your way out. The possibilities are endless.

A truck scenario could be down two ways.

1. DEFENDING THE CARGO.
Plywood 'passenger' side shooting station, elevated about 2' or 3' off the ground. The shooter ('passenger') sits sideways on a bench seat, the RSO ('driver') behind him. The truck window (30" horizontal, 24" vertical) would create the left and right limits.

This station would have two sets of targets - the first engaged by a longarm, the second with a pistol.

The longarm is staged on the 'dashboard' (shooter facing it, muzzle downrange). The shooter leans forward, grabs his weapon and orients out of the 'truck windown'. This would force the majority of shooters to use their longarm weak-handed/weak-sided, against two or more targets.

For the pistol phase, it's staged on the door - build a horizontal shelf on the horizontal 'window ledge', with a velcro strap to retain the holster (reduces sweeping issues). Shooter can then engage targets at whatever range desired.

2. ATTACKING THE TRUCK. Would require a plywood truck cab, about 5' wide with 2' high windows and elevated about 3' (so for most ranges, limited to only 12 gauge birdshot) with two targets inside.

Great prop idea! You could build it two dimensional with a driver's side view. Place two targets in the window and two steel plates near the front (headlights). A table behind the truck can act as the bed. Boxes can be staged there then unloaded as part of the caper design. Maybe have a shooter carry a smaller one to another location while engaging targets. It could be done on the clock. If every shooter has to do it, makes no difference unless it takes too long and the timer maxes out.

Interesting thoughts, wonder if IDPA (I know off topic a bit) would take up something like that. That still has real world uses and connotations. Sounds like fun at any rate.
