Mossberg has a 10 or more shot .308/7.62 NATO bolt action rifle out. That is a little more affordable than the Ruger. For those interested in the bolt action "Scout" rifle concept. They also build one in .223/5.56 NATO. They use AR or M1A type magazines so capacity is up to you. I thought it was a cool rifle, and a bit less than the Ruger, plus it takes AR and M1A mags. They are going from $540 or so at Buds.

I looked at one at Cabela's....I want one! Would be great with the Trijicon Acupoint 2.5-12

I like that you can use AR-10 or M1A magazines in it, and aren't locked into expensive proprietary magazines. They make quite a few different models of it, one of them should work out for about anyone. I've never shot a Mossberg rifle, but their shotguns have never caused me any problems. The gun testers seem to like it.

I took a look at one at a LGS, and I liked it very much. Couldn't afford it, however,
