When it comes to purchasing a holster, are the Cm and PM series guns the same physical size? In other words, if I purchase a holster that states it's for a PM9 will be CM9 also work with that holster? Thanks for any advice as I am a new CM9 owner.

yes, I have had 2 PM9's and one CM9. And have had the same holster for all 3.
And...I had one P9, if the Muzzle is open, it will fit just fine.
I think if you chopped off a P9, at the same length grip of PM9, the trigger guards and everthing is the same.
Had two MK9's pretty sure they fit as well.

Thank you so much for confirming that for me. Have a great weekend!

Truth. I have put my CM9 in both my Alien Gear holster shell and my comptac made for the P9, and it has functioned perfectly in both. PM9 should be the same as it's just a difference in length.

Here is the holster I use for my CM9 and my MK9. Silent Thunder Slim: http://www.giholsters.com/silent-thunder-slim-ii-appendix-carry/
It is an inside the waistband holster but can also be worn outside the waistband with a separate belt. It's kydex with an inside leather lining and keeps it's shape so when you draw the gun, the holster stays open and the gun can be reholstered without looking with one hand. It's the best, I think!

Yes, CM9 and PM9 share the same holster dimensions.
By way of recommendation, the Cook's Holsters kydex IWB is fantastic for me, my every day carry.

Since I'm new to the Kahr camp and am having difficulties finding a good paddle holster for my CM9, could someone recommend a good maker of Kydex paddle holsters? Thanks!

I have a Comptac and I absolutely love it. I bought a slightly longer one that carries both my P9 and CM9 perfectly. It has retention screws on it so you can choose the level of retention. They are available on Amazon for about $65, but can sometimes be found for cheaper on Ebay. Absolute best paddle holster I've ever used. Got one for my Springfield XD Mod 2.0 sc also, and it's the most comfortable way to carry that pistol as well.

I bought a Fobus paddle holster for my P345 but the don't or didn't make one for PM45, although they may make one for 9mm Kahrs. I got a Black Dog Concealment Kydex OWB for range use and it's perfect. They're out of PA. I use a High Noon Split Decision for CC. I'm wearing it sitting in my comfy chair writing this.

For me, I carry OWB or pocket. For OWB, I like leather--the Mitch Rosen 5JR Express belt slide (can be purchased from Kahr's website) works (and smells) great, nice tight carry and draw angle. I have a Tucker leather pancake coming with a sweat shield coming in a couple of months as well. Good gun belt helps for OWB as well. For pocket, all nemesis superfly--works great in warmer climates. I'm going to soon try the Urban Carry small rig, which looks promising. Love how it potentially conceals at 11 o'clock (I'm a lefty).

I'm a lefty also. Prefer either pocket or OWB kydex paddle holsters. Although, I've recently taken to using a SmartCarry, which allows me to carry an even larger pistol comfortably and well concealed. Definitely interested to hear your thoughts on the Urban Carry as reviews I've seen have been a little mixed.

Food for thought: The PM9 used to have a "flat nose" not like the tapered nose of the cm9 and the newer pm9. Some pm9 holsters are made for the older style flat nose. The alien gear shell I got was built for the older style pm9, and did not fit my pm9 w/o trimming the muzzle end of the shell!

I have the DeSantis SuperFly and love it for my CM9. I originally thought I would use it with the included flap to pocket carry, but I've learned that it is the most comfortable holster I own for IWB. No clips to worry about, the stickiness keeps it in place when drawing. I can easily move it around to adjust it if necessary. One thing I never knew until playing around with it, was that it is almost tuckable. I blouse my dress shirts somewhat when I tuck them in, and the holster sits between my shirt and pants. This blousing almost covers the gun entirely as long as I don't raise my arms high. In other words, I wouldn't have to pull my shirt out to access the gun.

Some feedback on the Urban Carry. I've been wearing it now for 2+ days. Overall, I like the innovation of the carry design and the convenience of carrying at 11 o'clock (or 1 o'clock for you righties). Both ease of presentation and the fact that one cannot tell or expect the holster or gun to be in that position, which is especially propitious.
The leather breaks-in quickly, forms to the gun, and it is made from a very nice quality leather--much better than I expected. In the small size holster, the PM9/CM9 with the 6 round carry mag fits perfectly with the grip of the gun concealed in the leather and hanging just below the waistline, allowing sitting or driving comfort. A Pierce grip extension or the extended 7-round mag will protrude a bit from the open side of the small size holster if you carry that way. Some may actually like it though, as it may facilitate a clean grip upon draw. The drawing of the gun, with any mag, does seem to get faster with only a little muscle-memory practice and as the leather settles in. The urban carry is definitely a winner for me--particularly with the small PM/CM/MK platforms or smaller 380s. Perfect option.
Two notes: First, if you wear your pants higher than the waist, it is recommended that you order the holster one or two sizes larger, so the pistol hangs lower and does not dig into your belly when in a sitting position. Another note, if you carry an MK with the wood grips, and use the small size holster, it will carry and feel more bulky just below the belt line. Still doable, but the thinner profile of a non-wood grip pistol makes the holster especially convenient and comfortable--a thinner pistol is also beneficial for presentation with this holster. If you carry with extended mags or carry with the thicker grips, the medium sized holster will be more comfortable and carry better.
Those carrying full-sized, double-stack guns, YMMV. I am not sure how the larger piece would carry next to, ahem, your naturally crowded real estate in this carry position.
Carry dynamics. The gravity pull of a sack of weight next to your dear package does require a good belt, and I must say, the Urban Carry belt, especially for the price, with 1/4" of single-ply, high quality leather is almost better than the holster itself. Carrying at the first belt loop of the pants seems to be the most efficient, and with the magnetic clasp of the holster threaded through the first loop, it is solid and secure. I am delighted with this holster / belt combo quite a bit and opens up a practical, fast, and comfortable new carry option for my PM9 and MK9.

Some advice before ordering the "smart carry" crotch hidden type holsters. Your success will depend largely on several factors. One, your body type, and two, the size of your gun. Believe it or not, some who sport about a bigger belly especially with narrower legs have a much better chance to hide the holster to where it is nearly invisible, particularly the smaller single stack guns of today. Now there are those of us who fit somewhere in between, and depending on how loose we wear our pants lends to our success of carrying the holster. Its usually a love or hate emotion for these holsters.
There are many different variations known as the Smart Carry (the original design), Tactipak, the Three Speed Holster, Urban Carry, Hide It holster, Cherries Medina holster, and a plethora of similar home-made holsters on Ebay. All have some advantage points or unique features and may be what is needed for deep concealment applications.
Here is what I advise before plunging for an expensive holster that may not fit as you first thought. Drop your unloaded gun into a sock. Holding the open end part of the sock, drop it down the front of your pants. Re-position it laterally and up or down while looking in a mirror. If the gun bulges more than you feel comfortable with, chances are that you might not like this type of holster. Adding leather or Kydex will only make the bulge bigger and not smaller.
